Paradigm releasing a new razor

I could be wrong but Athena and Overland same ballpark for efficiency...DB a bit higher.

I think the DB is significantly more efficient than the Overlander.  I’ve had the Overlander in SS and Al and every DB made (19, 20 and Ti).  To me it’s not even close.

I've been head shaving every other day with my Lambda Athena since July. So quite appreciate it's efficiency and comfort. it is one of my top three razor. Looking forward to try the DB Ti next few shave and report back the comparison.

just received tracking number from Paradigm Shaveware. looking forward to testing and comparing the Diamondback Ti to my Lambda Athena Titanium.

Yep, I remember your post.  I can’t get my armpits BBS with an overlander let alone my face, I can get a DFS.

My post? I've never owned am Overlander. I had the DB Ti briefly but I don't think I ever posted about it's performance. I do own an Athena Ti. I didn't have the DB and Athena at the same time so no side by side.

I’ve had couple more shaves with the Paradigm Ti, similar to Tester28 recommended. I only loosened the handle by half a turn, and the razor's efficiency increased significantly. Especially, when I did WTG pass, it quickly cleared more than 5 days of growth.

first shave this morning with newly DB ti, it has no blade feel at all with my preferred Astra Green blade. It feels like a negative exposure razor, very smooth but need slight pressure. Efficiency wise, it is no where near my other razors, including Lambda Athena. To me, this first shave gave me an impression of auto pilot, daily driver razor. it will probably take more shave to make my final assessment. No! I will not unwind handle 1/2 turn to make it more aggressive. that's ridiculous for a premium razor.

I normally use aggressive razors like the CG Gen1 LV3, Janus, Asylum RX, Rocnel Sailor with higher gaps, or straight and shavette razors because I love the feel of the blade. 
I don't have any issues with releasing the handle, but I prefer the original razor designs for my taste.

The Lambda and DB razors are more medium aggressive with minimal or no blade feel. The shaving angle might differ between the Lambda and Paradigm; after a few tries, you can find the best one for the DB. For someone like me, razors with a low blade feel require a bit of time and tries to get better shaves.

I have the DB Ti and have shaved with it 7 times. This is a fantastic razor, but it is most definitely blade dependent. I have found that the Nacet, Accuforge and the Gillette Swede work very well in the DB. Obviously, angle is important. I have found, for me, that a slightly steep angle is perfect. The razor does have audible feedback and i gauge my angle based on that. As for unscrewing the handle a bit, I just don't understand that. I am not an engineer, but wouldn't that allow for more blade chatter? I don't use that method and my shaves have been excellent. YMMV

There's more blade chatter, which is why I have to limit the release until the blade chatter bothers me. This is actually an old method, similar to shimming, which was popular when there were fewer razor options available. However, you don't need to do this now, since there are many razors available on the market.
