Just Here for the Shaves

(This post was last modified: 03-29-2024, 12:04 PM by Dave in KY.)
After my shave just now I have to say. Shaved exactly as the prototype did with more shine from polishing upgrade to the areas Andrew wanted on the baseplate. Over the years I've seen many ask in threads "What's your "Desert Island" Razor. I never really partook in a detailed comment as anyone that knows me, knows I love variety....even on a desert island. I can now say that this would be "That" razor for me. Don't get me wrong. I still love variety but if I literally could have ONLY ONE razor (say it ain't so)..............I believe this would be it. The perfect mix of comfortable and efficient as other reviews above have stated and add to that the Gorgeous and Iconic look of it that is expected from Paradigm Shaveware Razor and you have the Complete Package. THANK YOU Andrew for Producing an Amazing razor !!

Quick shave yesterday on three days growth. Took everything down easily and left me with a comfortable shave. I'll reserve the rest of my thoughts until I get a few more shaves in, but this is a very promising razor!

I'm relieved to read these comments. I too was getting worried that the razor might feel milder than I prefer, and I was underwhelmed by the Overlander. Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback so far. I can't wait to try this razor.

It’s way more efficient than the Overlander.  I don’t need a 3 pass with it at all, Overlander is a 3 pass and buff and get ready to shave tomorrow.  Dback Ti, I can go 36-48 hours in between shaves.

I believe it was dragonsbeard who likened the OG Diamondback to a WR2 1.35 in terms of efficiency....and your words seem to corroborate it.

I have to admit, I have only had a 1.15 WR2.  I’ve owned a lot more WR1’s.

It is closest to a RS10 Aggr+ than anything Wolfman I can recall.  It’s sneaky efficient and would be easy for me to overshave with.

The SS was slightly more efficient due to the weight truly putting mild pressure on your skin and likely the polishing - taking more metal off.  This shaves closer to the 2019 (less polishing) than the 2020.  Owned them all and maybe it was just the few I’ve had.

This is great to hear. Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I typically shave every other day, so it sounds like the Ti Diamondback will be a great option. I also felt that my shaves with the Overlander were slow going, and the results weren't long lasting.

Nothing here either, so don't feel rained on.
