FWIW LOOT and others the soap, from a very hyped company, is not the first to disappoint me. I found the scent to be very artificial like that lemon cake your friend had at his birthday party at the local bowling alley when you were eight. It was thirsty (we have a water softener system) which is only an observation and not a complaint. The soap went on smooth and soft with my synthetic brush which is where it excelled. However the overall shave was average and reminded me of a Razorock formulation so nothing special. It also left my very average skin somewhat dry like any other average preforming soap. However with it's price (approximately $7.50 USD per oz) it and the prior one (a different scent) doesn't work for me. But, hey, I tried it and have finished it ... on to the next one. Enjoy the Superbowl everyone who par takes in that fun

And yes the Salient is a great razor which performs much better than its price point. It’s an efficient daily shaver but most importantly (to me) it’s very smooth and comfortable

The main reason I purchase GD soaps is for their excellent post-shave performance. I ordered more than 15 of their soaps and haven't encountered any performance issues, except for one durability issue, which was promptly refunded by him. Since I'm out of GD soap now, I plan to order more during the next drop. Currently, their soaps are priced at around $29 for 5 oz., which is less than $6 per oz.

Sometimes, the amount of water used in the lathering process can affect the post-shave performance, especially for thirsty soaps like Lothur. When I use less water, I notice my face feels dry after shaving. However, when I ensure to add enough water and apply the wet brush method, I consistently achieve excellent post-shave results.

In other news - some additional razors are being sent for more polishing tests as of today.  Stay tuned to the real topic, the razor.

Very impressive that you hated the scent and still finished off the whole tub... I take it the performance must have been good enough to power through the scent.

"shaving absolutely beautifully, better than the stainless versions"

Mmmmm...as I have said, ad nauseam, titanium make everything better.
