I always wanted one....with a 100mm handle.

If you see one you like for sale, best to buy it.

This didn’t stop the Tradere Resurrection.

If he doesn't have CAD drawings, who designed the previous razors: him or the previous machine shop?

No CAD files?  No problem!  Just obtain one from someone who owns one like Dragonsbeard for instance, and reverse engineer it.  It's done all the time, and with far more complex machinery than a three piece DE razor.

No CAD files?  No problem!  Just obtain one from someone who owns one like Dragonsbeard for instance, and reverse engineer it.  It's done all the time, and with far more complex machinery than a three piece DE razor.

I'd think Andy has at least one of each razor he has been involved  with, who wouldn't.

Hold your breath, watch the next few of each be sold, but don’t ever expect to see the SE, Ti1&2 or 17-4 again.

I think you're wrong.  I think the Paradigm Ti 1 will be reproduced, and likely improved upon, though under a different name, by Yaqi.  I once sent an email to Shane at Blackland Razors suggesting that his Vector was too mild and could stand reiteration, and he rebuffed me.  Now witness the Yaqi Romulus (or Remus), which gives me a smoother and closer shave with a Feather Pro than the Blackland Vector can with a Feather Pro Super, and at less than half the price.  If Paradigm Shaveware doesn't do it, then Yaqi probably will.  Toodles.

Unlike the Vector they were all limited runs.  50-100 pieces of Ti razors… which leads to my next point. 

If someone wants to send a 700-2500 dollar razor to China to be copied, that is their business but that razor won’t be coming from my den. 

And let’s face it, Yaqi could make a lot more copying a BB than anything Paradigm made.  No modern razor has sold like the BB that I know of.  There are 5 other razors you could copy first that would be easier to mfg. and probably sell higher.  

I’ll leave speculation to others and even if I’m wrong as you suggested,  I’ll support real artisan rather than copies.  

But like I wrote, Andy has new razors coming out.  The only way to stay ahead of cheap copies is innovation. 

I love where he is going.  

If people love cubic zirconia, have at it.  I’ll go for the real diamond.

For every email we get saying that the Vector is too mild, we get three saying it’s too aggressive. We don’t change our designs with every request, but I’m glad you found something that works for you.

I have had numerous talks with Andrew and he has no intention on making the Ti 1 as he doesn’t have the CAD drawings and he thought it was too aggressive for the vast majority of shavers. I brought it up to him about making it again only I suggested he add a milder baseplate for those that feel it’s to aggressive. I find the razor not aggressive at all but smooth, well balanced, maneuverable and nicely efficient when compared to some modern day high gap razors. Andrew is making the Ti Diamondback and he said he has another deign in the works and the good news is he’s bringing back the handle designs that to me define a Paradigm. So bottom line I’m pretty confident that he’s not looking backwards but wants to move forward with new designs.

That would work just fine for me, because the reason I would like to own a Ti1 is the look. I absolutely love the handle design and the finish (I'm of the minority opinion that polishing actually cheapens the appearance of a razor).

Everyone thinks the Ti1 was the rarest razor from Paradigm. 

It wasn’t, it was the Ti2 with the original handle polished. There were about 30 made that way and 70 made with the standard V2 handle.  

Thought it was an interesting fact.

I’ll also comment on the just 3D scan a razor and remake one. Doesn’t work that way, you don’t have the original dimensions and tolerances before the finish was put on. You can get close but not the same.

The original prototype of the SE shaved more aggressively before it was polished. Same with the Diamondback, that is why I love my 2019. So you will get measurements but a different shave and finish.
