Paradigm releasing a new razor

Thinking about it this afternoon, a quick search on several different Chinese sites will show copies of many different popular razors so I don’t blame Andy for that. Paradigm has a reputation for great shaving razors so it makes sense that copies would appear.

How would there be copies of a Razor that hasn’t even been delivered to people that purchased from the first batch? The Razor is supposedly brand new, I can see if it were from his previous releases, but not this one.

Great question. There do appear to be some of these out in the wild already but my guess would be that some form of non disclosure/compete clause isn’t being respected by the manufacturer.

I dont want to talk bad about it or something else - I just want to know what happend and why this razor DS-OR is looking the exact same like the Salient. Maybe even he wasnt aware of that DS is using his design - but it would be great to read some clearing words. Its nothing against him or the salient or even paradigm - but for me as a customer I want to know the real story behind that. Its bad when a release turns out bad so I hope things will turn out the right way. The Salient is a good razor - no doubts but its the circumstances which annoy me

You can follow the link Ive posted earlier today. To compare the Salient to the DS-OR. If my understanding is right - the ds - or wasnt on aliExpress but you could order it directly through their website/mail. There was some quality issues with the fitting of the top Cap/baseplate (look up the pictures in the link). The Salient looks like the DS-OR with a correction of the topcap baseplate issue. Even the gap and small exposure (mentioned in the link) are the same.

I'm not sold on this connection. There's not enough yet.
