First shave tonight all I have to say it’s wowza ultra smooth shave it’s simply best shave I had and I have very sensitive skin prone to irritation etc..

I have paired it with Polsilver BN-71 this thing just glided trough so smooth trough whole shave and I used it 2x ATG and no sting feedback afterwards using alum block at all..very impressive  Happy2

I've had about 3 or 4 shaves with the razor now and thought I might add a thought or two.

Everything from my first impressions still stands.

Been trying to put my finger on something that stuck out for me about the audio feedback of this razor.
I couldn't articulate it clearly earlier but the word I was looking for is "tinny"....the feedback sounds tinny as I shave.
Guessing it might be a function of the light weight/Ti...though I haven't come across this kind of tinny sound
with other Ti razors.
It's not a glitch in the matrix...just an observation.
But it did make me wonder if the SS version of this razor might have been a better choice for me.

I am very curious if there is even one shaver or there that find this tool too agressive or too mild?

There appears to be a iron clasd concensus that this is the THE razor.

I will get in line to buy one in SS - but could this be true?

The PERFECT razor has been built?

Still know idea of exposure and gap.?

Analog Razor? I prefer MILD razors. Any thoughts out there?

Had some great input from Sasco and Neroli. Thanks boys.

I don’t think this is the end all to be all razor. I need to get a couple more shaves in with the titanium version but after my first shave, I prefer the my stainless version. That is just my opinion and the reason is because I prefer more aggressive razors and the SS version has more blade feel because of the weight. The Diamondback in both metals is a STELLAR razor but, for me, not the best ever! Keep in mind, I own a ton of high end razors so it is going up against a lot for me.

Only one shave with it so far, so too early to comment.
But I wouldn’t necessarily call it “mild”, although, as I’m sure you know, terms like “mild”/ “aggressive” are very subjective… YMMV and all that…

I believe there is a second batch of Ti DB razors planned, I’m not aware of SS becoming available again, at least in the near future… so you might need to look on BST for SS, in case someone who purchased and prefers Ti will now sell their SS razor…

Having experienced both ends of the spectrum, I will boldly say that this Ti version is neither.
It's somewhere in the middle.
It is also so smooth that it can lull you into complacency, which can create a weeper or two.

I am more and more intrigued by how this would shave in SS...with the same non-invasive polishing
method employed on the Ti.

Look for the 2019 SS version.  The 2019’s polish although not mirror like the 2020, made the razor milder and with slightly sharper edges (meaning less metal was removed).

If Andy does a satin Ti it will be the truest to the CAD design ever released and it will be slightly milder than the Ti Dback.

I would say the 2019 was milder than the current version of the polished Ti Dback by a little bit.

Ohhh...I was under the impression that the 2019 was the most efficient of the bunch...even more so than the 2020 which changed
the geometry a bit as it was highly polished. And the polished Ti was the least efficient among the three.

Maybe I got it wrong. I may not have been following as closely as I should have.

I like the efficiency of the Ti one just fine...any less efficient would be a step down IMO.

Wonder if satin Ti would use the same process as the polished Ti...just dialled down???

For sure, I have owned all of them and shaved with the prototypes so obviously it’s subjective, but I’m also sure in what I’m saying by looking at the finish on each and how much metal was removed.

Satin vs polished -not the same process at all.  Same as the Salient is getting now.  Take a look, top right corner.  See the Ti Dback amongst the Salient razors?   That is probably one I will ask Andy for a pass around on.  I know it’s a prototype, so it’s just a thought.

One thing - this process is a lot brighter than what I have seen from bead blasted finishes - to me it’s the best of both worlds.

Some of the 2019 razors are the most aggressive ones because they were overly polished with a coarse grade. This is my last post about the 2019 models. The photo shows 2020 on the left and 2019 on the right, so you can see the differences.
