Shave #2: The only change to the set up was the use of a GSB blade vice the Astra.  The results were another fine shave.  More tomorrow.

Not part of the pass around but my Diamondback Ti will be here on Wednesday! Purchased from a member of a discord group.

Shave #3

Pardigm razor
KCG blade
APShaveCo brush
Lea Menthol SC
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Skin Bracer A/S

Another delightful shave this morning.  An easy 2 pass DFS (with a little touch up).  The razor has worked well with 3 different blades and that is a bit amazing to me as most of my others tend to favor certain blade(s).

So what are my thoughts overall?  Beautiful razor that is extremely well made and very easy to use.  Would I buy one?  Don't think so as my mind cannot justify the cost regardless how good it is.  But that's just me, I try to be thrifty though I fail at that sometimes. I'll get this one on the road tomorrow so others can enjoy.  Thanks for the opportunity.

I pre-ordered the Ti Diamondback 2024 and I'm still waiting for it. I'm really looking forward to it and hope to receive it in the end of Aug.

The razor arrived yesterday and I shaved with it today. The shave is smooth and comfortable. The long handle and wide head (covered blade tabs), make it a little awkward for me. I might get used to it over the next few shaves. I would definitely prefer an 80-85 mm handle and exposed blade tabs though.

It’s going well. I like the way it feels. I can feel enough of the blade to know where it is, but it’s fairly mild and efficient. The covered blade tabs makes it difficult to get under my nose. I’m still trying to find a more comfortable way to hold the handle. I’m getting used to it, but it’s definitely not natural since I usually use 76-80 mm handles.

The list as I have it now is:

1.) Dragonsbeard  - NY
2.) TommyCarioca - KY
3.) ewk - SC
4.) spacemonkey42 - MA
5.) bbssboss - MA
6.) bayourider - LA
7.) Dayman  - GA (received 8/15/25 should be shipping this weekend)
8.) Cutty Sharp Sharp - KY
9.) cigarman - MO completed
10.) SinCityAg  - NV
11.) Lesser- NY

I made some minor tweaks here to help with keeping a razor in a region and to keep it moving faster without major impact.

More can sign up as it’s passed around.  Just keep in mind of the common courtesy rules:

  1. Keep it like new
  2. Always use a washer
  3. Disinfect before sending on
  4. Write up with pics
  5. Try not to keep more than a week (get your 2-7 shaves in with it and move it on).

Please insure the razor for 300 dollars when you ship it and we may flip around a few spaces to make shipments faster.

Enjoy Gentleman!

I sent the razor to the next user yesterday. I meant to send it Thursday but I couldn’t get away from work. I apologize for keeping it an extra day.

I enjoyed using the razor. I tried it on back to back days, with 1 day between shaves and 2 days between shaves. I think it’s more of a daily or every other day shaver. It didn’t do as well with 2 days growth. Overall, I enjoyed using it. There was enough blade feel to know where it is, but it wasn’t aggressive. It was also efficient and did not irritate my skin. I kind of got used to the long handle and covered tabs, but I would still prefer exposed tabs and a shorter handle. I definitely would not have gotten along with that handle length is stainless steel, but it was ok in titanium. I would still consider purchasing it, weigh the negatives because it was so easy to shave with and worked well with my sensitive skin.

There will be a limited number up for sale soon, it is unclear if he will make more after this run.  I believe he will consider different metals that add weight and the Ti is somehow special for the balance to me.
