I find the DB both significantly smoother and more efficient than the original Cx plate. I haven't used the +/++ plates yet so can't make that comparison. Blade feel is also much less on the DB.
Thanks for the feedback. Now just need to hear about the +/++plates

I just shaved for the first time with my Diamondback, which arrived about an hour earlier. It's a beautiful razor, and it preformed beautifully. A very smooth, comfortable four pass BBS. Great balance, I love the weight, just an overall splendid shave. I'm very happy with my purchase!

I don't see anything wrong with using a different handle.  I like the Diamondback handle, but variety is the spice of life.

The handle is a thank you present that just showed up in the mail today.  It might work very well with a Javelin too!!

As it will be my first Paradigm, I have faith that everything will work out just fine. Sometimes Quality Control happens but I’m thankful that someone takes the time to answer questions and hopefully deliver on Customer Service. I will wait and see.

Did my last Shave Off comparison between the Diamondback and Wolfman razors.  This time it was the WR1 SS .94 DC vs the Diamondback and not get into a long detailed review. I used two fresh Feather blades, Mike’s Natural Barbershop, a Timeless bowl and Acqua Di Parma Intense as the scent of the day. Used Thayers unscented not shown in the photo as a post shave splash. What I was most excited to try was a gift from my buddy Jason smurfups77 that he sent me just because he wanted to. I’ve always wanted a Barberpole handled brush but just hadn’t pulled the trigger on one yet so honestly I was in shock an obviously surprised when Jason sent it to me. It’s a Wild West Shaving Company handle and a Declaration B9 B 26mm knot and it is a awesome brush and I’d like to publicly thank Jason for the thoughtful and generous gift!

Son on to the Shave Off and this was an easy to read comparison. The WR1.94 DC which I only used the SB side had more blade feel than the DB especially on the 1st WTG pass on 3 days growth and even though it was smooth and a razor I’m very familiar with it wasn’t as smooth as the DB is and that is especially true on the 2nd ATG pass where the DB starts to exhibit its ghost blade feel where’s the WR1 maintains its blade feel which is more consistent throughout the entire Shave but it certainly doesn’t bother me at all. At the end of the 2 passes the 94 proved to be the more efficient and effective at taking down my 3 days growth and gave me a longer lasting BBS shave. So in conclusion I’d say the DB is a touch more efficient than the WR2 TI  1.25. Dead even with the WR2 TI 1.35 SB and not quite as efficient than WR1.94 SB but smoother than all 3 Wolfie’s I used in this Shave Off comparison and feel no need to match the DB with my WR2 Ti DC 1.45/1.55 SB as far as testing efficiency goes. I think that Paradigm hit one out of the ballpark with this Diamondback and it would definitely be the one I’d be grabbing if I was a daily shaver.

Nice Job @Paradigm Andrew!

I got couple of shaves, too. DB vs. WR1 .94SB, WR2 1.55 SB and CG Lvl 3 Gen 1.
I can say DB is very smooth and have lower blade feel but its efficiency is lower than all three.
But, I can get 3 pass BBS with DB, It is a great razor.
