Howlelujah World's easiest sales pitch. Yup. Very different razors. "Need" is pretty subjective. You can get by with just Edwin Jagger. Or Gillette. You buy it because you want it lol

Thanks for all of the replies. Any chance we will see a limited polished Ti Diamondback? I hate to sound razor snobby but limited runs are appealing for a couple of reasons.

Mark Shavemd has done a fantastic job comparing this DB iteration sufficiently to sell a bunch of SS DBs. Kudos to him for a job well done. Thank you, sir. A couple of your reviews really perked my ears up.

Andy’s pitch worked. Just ordered one. Looking forward to giving it a spin. And now I can start saving up for the Javelin  Smile

Totally agree. After Mark's reviews, here became more exciting and many members got DBs.
He shared great pics and awesome reviews. Thanks a lot, too.

What can I say? Without good reviews, a razor is hosed. Who knows about Ti Diamondback. Right now, I'm focused on polishing up the remaining ones and getting Ti Javelin running.

This makes me even happier with my purchase as I don't want one with more blade feel nor a less aggressive version Smile

Very glad I got this one!

And I agree, thanks to Mark for being such a great enabler haha

Because of all the praise for the 17-4, I said to myself that once another Paradigm SS DE comes out I’m gonna grab it. I didn’t bother with the WCS Diamondback because at the time I wasn’t sold on it. Needless to say my 2020 Diamondback just arrived with the mail today and I can’t wait to take it for a spin tomorrow morning. Thanks all for all the great reviews!

Thank you gentlemen for the kind comments. Just to enable a little more I think a Ti Javelin will be better than a Ti Diamondback.  With the minimal blade feel on the Diamondback it might loose efficiency or increase irritation in Ti depending on how much pressure you apply. The heavier weight helped me let the razor do the work. The aluminum Javelin I have has more blade feel, not as much as the V1 but definitely there so I think it benfits from being lighter as the blade feel is a good guide.  The Ti 2 I believe had the same head design as the 17-4 but was not as easy to get that great shave without learning how much pressure to use, the weight of the razor made a significant difference. Just my opinion, but I’m glad I have the Diamondback as it fits right in my wheelhouse to use daily with just the right amount of smoothness to efficiency ratio.

I like Javelin's thin bars, it shaves very efficient (like WR2 1.55) and pretty smooth. When I tried your light-weight Aluminum Javelin, even without any pressure I got perfect BBS.

Shavemd Your observation about the weight (technically the mass) of the razor is so true. I go on about that all the time, F = MA. Ninth grade Newtonian mechanics.
