Can't just now. All available resources are being put into the Gem. If I could, I'd make another 200 available tomorrow.

You are right. At this juncture anyway. Paradigm razors will be available from other online retailers as well as probably direct to public this year.

I don't mean to be critical. And I am in no way suggesting how a business can be run.

But I am baffled here: I have been wet shaving for the last 3 years, and I have not seen such a positive response over a Razor (not considering unobtainiums), ever. I am sure the demand is still super high among those who unfortunately weren't early(ish) adopters. I know for a fact I would buy one in a second.

So why branching out to uncertain territory, when demand is super high for 17-4 SS Razor.

On the flip side, I hope the GEM and other razors turn out to be equally praiseworthy.

It's a fair point. But I think one way razor manufacturers go wrong is by getting a successful design, then working it to death: new handles, new baseplates, new material, anything but an entirely new design. I hope to have several models in simultaneous production in the not too distant future, but for now, it's one at a time. That being said, people welcome variety too, and I enjoy the challenge. GEM is a very different beast from DE.

If and when I do the 17-4 again, I'm going to make a few minor changes. First off, I've got to offer a longer handle option. Lots of people have been asking for it. And I wouldn't heat treat it to quite such a hard condition. It should be easier to use other handles for those who like to mix'n'match.

Hearing about the longer handle really makes me happy! Any chance on also bumping up the diameter slightly too? Anyway, I would love to be able to purchase the longer version of the handle to go with my 17-4 head.
Thank you for listening to your customer base, and I’m really looking forward to your future releases.

Bullgoose had at least one 17-4 up for sale again tonight. Didnt last long. Is this an atempt to turn Paradigm into the next Wolfman? This is twice this week where there was availability for the razor but only for a short time. I love my SS version so much I bought the original Ti on one of the blogs. Andy I hope you will be able to up production this year so more people who want your razors will be able to get them, and not on the over inflated prices of the secondary market.
