Thank You!  Mom and baby are home and doing well. I was able to get your original Ti razor this weekend hopefully I will receive it in a few weeks. I will give a comparison to the 17-4 when I get it.

The original Ti is an outstanding razor. Like the 17-4 it is well balanced. The fit and finish are perfect. It has more blade feel than the 17-4 but is still smooth. It us a bit more efficient than the 17-4.

Couldn't have said it better. The 17-4 was designed to be a little toned down, while retaining most of the efficiency. I'll be curious to hear if you agree with this assessment.

There is a place for both in my den. After all, variety is the spice of life! I will be curious to hear opinions about Ti v.2. Are you going to make any changes in the head geometry of the 17-4 to accommodate for the different material?

Geometry is the same, shave is quite similar. I like a lighter razor, so I prefer the ti. They are just about finished machining, then off to polisher. These will also have a mirror finish, though not quite as bright due to nature of material.

I absolutely adore my 17-4, but am curious about the v1 titanium head. Is there any way you will offer the original Ti head in the 17-4 material?

Do you know what the price will be on the new titanium V2,, I hope it will be less than $400 like the first one

Bad news on the price, I'm afraid. Apart from expense of material and machining in general, there are three people in the distribution chain. I design them, machinist builds them, Bullgoose sells them. I ran into pretty bad cost overruns on the 17-4, and actually did not make any profit. Zip. If that model gets released again, price will have to go up. I wouldn't be bitching and moaning except that we are on the subject. I sympathize about the expense, but if I'm out of business, I can't make razors, which would suck, because I like to. I'll never get rich at this. Just need to eat, pay the rent, and stick a little something away.
