Do you mean you haven't yet done a test palm-lather?! I do that with all new soaps. Big Grin

No, I never do a test palm-lather, Celestino. I never consider that truly representative of the soap. Only how it performs on the face, both for the shave and post-shave qualities, is my interest.

I understand, David, but my curiosity always supersedes the wait for the actual shave. I love to generate lather, regardless of how it is done. It also gives me an idea on how the lather will look and generate when it comes to the actual shave.

Well, I went ahead and shaved for a second time, today with the Vetiver PURE2O soap. I then palm-lathered for a pic.

The scent of this soap is more green vetiver, not a smokey vetiver such as the Eufros Vetiver de Haiti, another favourite. There's definitely the citrus element coming through, too.
Performance is excellent. It's a softish soap and I overloaded my brush for the first time, as a result. It's also a thirsty soap although I guess that wasn't helped by the overloading. Lather builds incredibly easy, totally stable, and very creamy...just the way I like it. Glide is superb, as is protection.
I don't usually shave at night and didn't use an AS afterwards. Post shave is very good. Many tallow soaps such as Harris leave my skin feeling clammy. This soap leaves none of that.
It's a fine soap. Scent is complex and as far as Vetiver soaps go, may not be to eveyone's taste, but I surely love it.
Great work, Marco.

I forgot to say that Guerlain Vetiver complements this soap, perfectly, IMO. Not the same scent, of course, but nonetheless a great pairing.

Nick, the strength is middle of the road, which is exactly the way I like it. It's present throughout the shave but not overbearing.

Would you compare the scent to "Creed's Original Vetiver" fragrance? Green, citrus, clean ?
