PAA Ascension Twist Adjustable.... Gimmick or for Real??

Here's the Ascension loaded with twin blades. I'll go first tomorrow unless somebody else wants to beat me to it. The extreme curve of the head may enable this to work as it does in the Shake Sharp v1.0.

Nice. Are those blades bonded a la the Schick Twin II's injector blades?

Haha no, they are just two standard blades, bonded only by pressure between cap and baseplate. I just touched up the nape of my neck and it felt smooth going.

Ok well that didn't work. Very rough. Guess I was fooled by the photo but in fact the blades stay bonded together, not with two separate edges.

The only reason two blades work in the Shake Sharp is that after being initially aligned on the posts, the top blade slides back into the head over the posts as the back of the head secures it. No such ability in the Ascension.

Another great shave though, Bic blade.

I think Body Shop Macca Root is a very underrated cream. I think I'll use it tonight thanks for the reminder that I actually have it.

They didn't last long that's for sure.

The Ascension SS is an absolute home run in my book. I replaced the bombtip handle with an Ikon Bulldog. The shaves with this razor are incredibly smooth and efficient. At 70 for a stainless steel razor, their my not be a better value in wet shaving.
