This by far our most expensive pup and we haven't even met it yet. But of course our last pup flew in cargo and it was 20(?) years ago.
Just curious, what local vet is it?
I think we may have used that vet in Scarborough decades ago. We had a Rottie that had a cruciate ligament problem and a vet down there developed a surgery to correct it. Afterward he decided to retire at a very young age and cruise the world in his sailboat.
edit: BTW unless something really screwy happens it's on for Wednesday. We just got a text from the flight nanny telling us what fight "she" is booked on.
Animal Hospital of Waterville. We have seen the same vet for 20 years almost. We trust her, but this startled us, the missing of parasite and the ear infection. In her defense, she hasn't been able to examine him, as we opted not to wait the 10 days for the next available appointment but instead drove down to the Maine Veterinary Medical Center.

Thanks, gents! He is doing fine, although not enjoying taking his daily pill! But last night I buttered it up and slipped it in with no big hassle. He may be on to me now, we'll see!

Bo is making my DFS perusing a bit of a challenge this morning… he was promised a hike. I should probably get on that.
He also needs a haircut. Haha

Tomorrow is the day! It's going to be a long night for ShadowsDad. I don't expect flight delays due to weather. But I do understand we can't go into the terminal to wait. Thanks TSA! I intend to inquire because non ambulatory riders can have someone meet them. I think a puppy in a carrier would be considered non-ambulatory. I guess I'll find out.

The pup came in ahead of schedule and it was a snowy day so I drove cautiously. It was a late night and after getting her settled and intros made finally got to bed at 0200. Once she realized we weren't going to kill her she accepted things just fine. She is definitely at home and trying to take over. I forgot just how fast pups can move. It's hell trying to housetrain a tiny pup in the winter. There is just so much time they can be outside to do their business. In the summer one can walk them for an hour or more. But we'll get it trained eventually.
She's a cutey. She jumps all over Shadow and he's tolerant of it. This afternoon I almost thought I was going to have to stop the action, but clearly he was going after her, with his tail wagging so I let things be. She gets to the point where she's overtired and then into the crate she goes to take a nap. She's been napping for 2 hours now and I expect her to come out of her coma soon.
She'll settle in just fine once she finds her place. The biggest issue is the housetraining. We forgot just how fast pups move and our old bones interacting with that.
Oh, and she discovered the dog in the mirror today. Pups are fun despite our age.
