I've shared this before, but I think it's worth saying again: They were never meant to be our friend for life. We were meant to be their friend for their life. Another gent wrote that to me when I lost Carson, and it really helped me. I think we all strive to give our furry family members the best life they could ever have.

I am so sorry Mike. It is very difficult loosing a close friend like that. I echo the words of those before me... Remember the good times. The happiness Jack has brought to your family should be remembered and celebrated. You folks surely brought as much happiness to him. Gone but never forgotten, he'll be waiting for you on the other side.

HighSpeed I’m sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. We said goodbye to Charlie on Friday. He was a great friend. It’s hard.

My condolences to you too Marko. I've fallen behind on keeping up with this thread and apologize for any that I've missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss Mike. You had 15 great years with Jack, and that is something very special.

Thoughts and prayers sent your way.

Mike, my heart goes out to you, my friend. You are right, words are inadequate. But like Paul, I will praying for you and thinking of you and your family at this time of loss. I have no doubt that you gave Jack the best 15 years could have possibly had. We'll be mourning with you.

Mike,
So sorry to hear about your loss. Dogs occupy space in your family and heart. Their departure is full of pain, but worth enduring for all the love and joy one like Jack adds to your life.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Phil

Thank you my brother, and I'm so sorry for your loss too.  Words seem impossible to find, but FWIW, add me to the list of those whose hearts are with you.
