All knots are super dense. The Hook knots are instantaneously gelled, the others develop gel-like properties with use.

Both of you have awesome looking brushes and all three of us like Prometheus. If y'all don't mind I have a few questions. Do you think the manchuria and maggards are the same or do you think the maggards shd is handmaster? How does the manchuria and gelousy compare and which do you like better? I am definitely getting a 26mm fan gelousy and thinking about getting a manchuria. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately I do not own any Maggard's knots and cannot compare between the two sources. Between the gel-tipped ("Hook") and Manchurian I prefer the Manchurian. The tips are soft but not gel-like soft and I like the gentle scrubbing effect.

Oumo is currently having a fan-sale, you can get a 26mm Chubby brush for around 30$ + shipping, which is an insane deal!

I have to state that with my latest knot order, I am really disappointed with Oumo. I have ordered 6 knots over the past 7 months and had great service from Oumo. However, on December 4th I ordered another badger knot from them. After 4 weeks, the tracking simply states: “customs failure”. I am not sure what that means or where it currently is located. Oumo won’t respond to my messages so I opened a dispute with the reason as “not received”. Aliexpress sided with Oumo because they state the brush was sent and is in transit. They released my funds to Oumo and I lost the dispute. Now, I am getting nothing from Oumo but crickets. The tracking for the last two weeks states just “customs failure”.

My Oumo knot in a Prometheus handle. The knot has scrub and nice splay. It isn’t my softest knot but one that can prep a few days growth quite well. I’m going to use it tomorrow.

Why would you be charged if there was a Customs failure? It clearly didn't reach your hands.

Same thing happened to me when I was trying knot suppliers. Apparently the knot bounced back to them. For whatever reason.
Sent email through aliexpress (several), no response.
So, just before the month expired and since I had payed through PayPal, I opened a dispute and go my money back.
They charge you a small additional fee for using PayPal but I think for this type of situations is worth it.
Odd enough I have bought several knots from them and it only happened on this one occasion. The rest flawless.

I saw the separate thread about the matter, and posted this there:

I hope the issue gets settled!

Since this is an appreciation thread, I would very much appreciate it if we could share positive experiences here.

If anybody feels the need to express their concerns or to warn fellow DFShavers about problems with the service or quality issues please open a new thread and name it accordingly!

Thank you!

I am very happy with the knots I’ve tried from them: silvertips, two band. They were very close runner ups and surprisingly very good knots with great performance. I personally recommend them.
I you get hold of them through Instagram the folks are really helpful and respond at the speed of lightning, one wanders if the ever sleep.
