I was enjoying the Oumo knots last year in my DIY brushes with handles from ThatDarnRob, Prometheus Brushes, and Elite Razors and would like to ask fellow DFShavers to post their Oumo favorites here too!

Happy New Year!

Those Brushes all look great, beautiful collection my Friend! I especially like the one on the far right. I’m going to have to look into Oumo as I’ve not used any of their Knots before.

I've had a B8 and a few paladins in the past. Now I only have Oumo brushes and don't regret selling the other ones at all. I think the Oumo knots are better than the paladins and I can't tell a difference between my Oumo and the B8 I had.

Thank you for kind words! The Oumo knots are very good and their quality is consistent from batch to batch. I have three types: Manchurian (in ThatDarrnRob in the second photo), Elite Razor’s  Lazurite (middle brush), “Hook” in brushes 2, 5 and 7 (all Prometheus left to right) and SHD silver tip in brushes 1, 3, and 6 (all Prometheus). All knots are super dense. The Hook knots are instantaneously gelled, the others develop gel-like properties with use.

I have 15 various Oumo knots! For now, I'm embarrassed to show them all at the same time Smile They're what I use; you can see on the GD Instagram posts.

IMHO, they're the very best badger knots out there, regardless of price.

Several months ago GD almost carried them but due to lack of funds at that time, a big vendor got to them before I could raise the funds to order them at wholesale prices Smile

The Oumo knots are fantastic but I won't be ordering any more complete brushes from them. I ordered a custom colored brush during the Black Friday sale and I received the brush from the stock photo. I will probably pull the knot from the handle and use it elsewhere.

These are my three. Top is gelousy 28mm in a craving shaving handle and it is spectacular, maybe my favorite. Bottom left is tips 26mm in grizzly bay and right is tips 28mm in viking shave ebonite. The grizzly bay is the other competing for my favorite badger. I am fixing to get another 26mm gelousy. Oumo is killing it in my opinion.

I've ordered 4 brushes from them, and only ONE looked anything like the one in the photos. I definitely understand your frustration. The other 3 had completely different color schemes.
But the knots and price are so damn good, that it's not a deal breaker for me Smile

I requested a custom color scheme which they agreed to. The brush shape was correct but stock photo colors were used instead. Still a great knot for sure!

What loft height do you guys set your knots to? I always ask them to set mine at 48mm, tons of backbone at that height.
