Like you two, I love firearms.  I love the Second Amendment and am a card carrying lifetime member of the NRA.  I'll also say that I'm glad firearms aren't discussed here.

The reason I'm glad it isn't discussed here is because firearms have been pulled into our political institutions, which means there are many lies told from both sides, especially related to gun control.  Because of this; gun control, and thus firearms, have become topics like abortion or politics where folks have very strong feelings on both sides.

This is a great forum where we all come to have fun and enjoy ourselves.  Fighting and bickering doesn't happen that much here.  I would like to see it stay this way.

Also, not long ago I did a Google search on something wet shaving related - horse hair shaving brushes or something.  One of the hits took me to another wet shaving forum, whose behavior probably generated the few rules here, and the post that opened was a post selling a magazine for a modern pistol.  I remember thinking that seemed a bit odd on on a wet shaving forum.

It also led me to believe this topic may have caused trouble on another wet shaving forum, which is why that rule is here.

Okay, I'm good with that. But can we discuss my home made nuclear ordnances ?

I recently got a hat mounted action cam to use in my lifelong sport. I'd love to be better at the sport, but I don't like leaving the state and the thrust of training in state isn't for gaming. Or not that I've found yet. I'm still trying to get over the years I spent in Bullseye competition where one has all sorts of time and accuracy is the only thing that counts. In this game, in the videos, it's speed, accuracy and power that are the key factors, in that order. At 65 I'm just not going to be running. I need to find any speed elsewhere. In the division I'm in everything is scored at the bottom level of power. So that leaves accuracy and speed to work on. That's what the camera is all about; so that I can evaluate what I did after the match and at home as it relates to speed. Because the mind goes into a different mode when under stress and can't be trusted to remember what happened and at what speed it happened at. Case in point, the makeup shot at the end of the 2nd video. I bereate myself for taking the time and the RO tells me I was right to take it. Time vs accuracy, I still gained a few points by taking the shot since it was another A zone hit. BTW, when this is happening I think I'm moving pretty fast, but the video doesn't lie. I need to speed up if I can, but if I can't I'm still having fun. I can't do this at home in the same way.

Here are the first 2 videos ever that I shot at a match yesterday. I'm missing 5 stages because one must remember to turn the camera on. Old dogs new tricks (sigh). After turning the camera on the RO can be seen handing my launcher back to me. Oh, and BTW, I take a good natured ribbing for "taking my sons" "toy" to a match.

Some of the targets are hard to see. Look for cardboard color against the berm and white steel. Any other white target or anything black is a penalty. A miss into the white cardboard "no shoot" is a 30 point deduction. It takes a minimum number of shots to complete a stage (sometimes an exact number), but when steel is present one can shoot as much as one wants to or needs to. But more rounds take time so the goal is one round only done as fast as possible. That makes it sound like a very simple game. I love to tell nobs that it's simple, just get all A zone hits as fast as you can, nothing to it. That never fails to get a few chuckles.

These are links. If you feel the need to complain about content, you chose to go there knowing what was there, so get over it. These videos will be deleted in a few days to free up the space in my Dropbox.

I'm really not very good at it. To see how it's done by folks who are good+ go to youtube and search for "action pistol". For those wondering about shooting a long tool at the same time handheld tools are competing, we compete together at the same time, but in different divisions. I think there are 8 divisions at this time, and we all compete at the same time.

Please, no discussion of the noise making tools in this forum; let's obey the rules. If there are questions etc' that's what PMs and emails are for.
