Orange Blossom Water – alternative to witch hazel

I first came across Orange Blossom Water (oil of neroli) being pitched as a drink.
It is used in Lebanon to make a refreshing hot tea with sugar. I tried it in a pitcher of 
cold water loaded up with ice and it was a superb answer to a hot day.

Reading up on it I discovered that OBW has numerous skin benefits. Given that
it's about 10-15 times cheaper than witch hazel for me, I have started to use it
as a spritz after a shave...and I swear it makes my face feel like a million bucks.

Orange Blossom water ( floral water or sometimes called a Hyrosol is great for the skin as are many of the others like Rose, Lavender Cucumber etc. They go unnoticed it seems in the wet shaving community and I use them exclusively in my Hyaluronic acid serum to add a aroma and for their skin beneficial properties. 

Just a note.  If you can get Orange Blossom water from Japan in my experience they have the best.

I got mine at a department store that sells a lot of different stuff.
It was in the food and spices section. I would try in a Lebanese supermarket
if you have one near you. Mine came from Beirut from a company called Cortas

This is a cheap hack that cost me about $1.50 for a 300ml bottle...I'll probably switch
to it for good if the performance holds up for another week or two.

I bought a small bottle to use in cocktails a while back (Ramos Gin Fizz specifically). I don’t make them that often so a bit ago when I realized it was going unused I mixed some up into a postshave concoction with unscented witch hazel, rose water and glycerin. It’s not my favorite but not bad for a homebrew (I used Dickinsons witch hazel which was probably a mistake as I’ve always felt that has a smell that’s a bit “off” to me).
