Well though both are single edge razors they use different blades i.e FHS & AC blades. A lot has been said about FHS blades (sharpest, dull early, costly etc etc) and that's the only blade OB takes officially. V1 had the design flaw which allowed a Gem blade to fit the head but V2 can only accept FHS blades. That is seen as disadvantage by some whereas I don't mind using only them as I get amazing shaves with FHS.

On the other hand, with Vector, one gets a lot of options. Kai, Feather, Schick and perhaps a couple more. On recurring cost, deciding factor is the number of shaves one can get from each blade. I have owned one blade for more than 4 yrs now and have managed a max of 5 shaves once or twice. Mostly it is 3 to 4 shaves only. Whereas with Vector, my last shave with Kai Titan Mild gave me 16 shaves. I have not binned it yet.

In terms of shave quality and comfort I found one blade slightly better but Vector scores in overall performance. I sport a handlebar and vector is more handy in managing and shaping it. In the looks department too Vector steals the show. It could easily be a razor for 22nd century.

I have both in my den but I reach out for Vector more.

Ratings
Oneblade 8/10
Vector 9.5/10

I have a OB Genesis v2 and a Vector. I have to say that you really cannot compare the two because they are different designs and uses different blades.. I am one of those folks that choose to use a despined and notched Gem blade for my Genesis. I have used the FHS blade in the past, but found that they do not last very long and is expensive and not many places carry them. That being said, the head articulates and is rather large. It gives a extremely comfortable and efficient shave, but is kind of a boring shave. It is perfect for if yo are late for a meeting and need to shave before rushing out the door because it is very forgiving and does not require any attention or skill.

The Vector has one of the smallest head of any shaver and is extremely efficient. It has a range f angles that you can use, but you can easily go from a very comfortable to a very rough shave without much effort. You have a bunch of blade choices that all give it a different character and so it is very versatile in that respect.

Both are excellent and efficient shavers, but both are different and cannot be compared to each other.
