I have a bottle of pure glycerin which I bought to make some home made insect repellent...the instructions behind say that it's suited for
"moisturising dry or chapped skin, especially the hands". Think concentrated glycerin may also be good for cracks on soles feet.
I think pure glycerin can be used...although it is always added to a host of other ingredients in a moisturising lotion.
Good for problematic areas where dryness is pronounced.
Sometimes I use a couple of drops of pure apricot oil to moisturise face as it gets absorbed quickly with no oily feel.
I dont use pure 'glycerin myself but may try it pure now that u mention it.

I mixed up something a few years ago with orange blossom water, witch hazel and glycerine. I didn’t love it but it was using Dickinson’s WH which I was never a fan of, I keep meaning to try it again with Thayers.
Ok, enough responses are in so that I can't poison the well.
Here is my opinion if you haven't already guessed: I hate glycerine in an aftershave. I hate, hate, hate having my face feel sticky-even if it eventually goes away. I can't figure out why it doesn't drive other people nuts.
Also, I hate making bread-specifically kneading the dough. The dough sticks to the hairs on the top of my fingers. I hate that.
Basically, I don't like anything sticky.
