The suggestions above are very good and I won't repeat them. I will add several not already stated. These are:
1. Declaration Grooming--anything in the Milksteak base. One of my all-time favorites is Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli.
2. Eufros aka Jabonman. One of my favorites is Tobacco.
3. Wholly Kaw in the Siero base. One of my favorites is Rebelle.

Pro Tip: One final suggestion is to stock up heavily on soaps and razor blades in case Shavemagedon happens. Thousands and thousands of blades and hundreds of soaps...as nothing says dedication to this weird hobby like a stock of soaps and blades sufficient for three or more lifetimes. When I pass, I want my adult children to ponder the age-old question: What the hell was he thinking?

I have way too many soaps, but only a few brands. Each one of them would make up  a perfect LAST soap Smile

However, one soap among them is the true winner - Aether by GroomingDept.

I always love these threads when our members can almost Never limit their answers to the requested volume of one(or just a few} . I guess we would all rather die undecided than leave a chance for YMMV to hold us to a firm decision on just one product.

The problem with choosing just one last soap is that there are hundreds of soaps in the marketplace. I have about 75 soaps in my current rotation that will give me a great shave. I could pick any one of them at random and use that one for the rest of  my shaving career, except that some of those soaps have been discontinued, replaced with even better soaps. The best soap in my collection is currently Grooming Dept Kairos SE, but as a special edition soap, it might not be produced for the rest of my lifespan.  Thus, I have to have alternatives that are almost as good.

I told myself a while ago too that I was going to whittle down to only soaps from a handful of producers, and try to limit to a couple of each.
It hasn't worked...

For the sake of the topic, I will pretend for a moment we don't make our soap. I wouldn't pick any fickle artisans who might run out or discontinue my favorite "last soap".

Good point Dom. I wish Tabac had not discontinued their traditional formula - tallow how is gone
