Old codger needs some help with Stirling Soaps!

I've kind of been in a shaving rut for the last half century.  No kidding!   I shaved with the same Krona razor and a variety of blades (wish I'd bought Personna 74's in bulk) since 1969 when I bought it for $1.49 in the PX. Never went for those expensive plastic cartridge things.  If something works, stay with it.   I've used that same razor through two marriages, four children and five grandchildren.  It recently (about a month ago) gave up the ghost after being dropped for at least the hundredth time.  Fortunately, I had acquired a Karve and a backup Krona from Ebay.  Spent 10X what I paid for my original razor on the new Krona.  In any case I used Barbasol throughout that experience and started with a simple cold water rinse, followed by Barbasol and finished with Aqua Velva or Old Spice.  Well, since joining this forum and a few others, I've learned a bit about soaps, brushes, preshave applications, and skincare along with a host of new acronyms, DFS, BBS etc. 

What I need is a bit of help.  I like menthol and was wondering if Stirling makes a good menthol soap also whether there are any other Stirling soap products or cremes I should think about incorporating into my shave.  Any and all recommendations are welcomed!

Sterling makes several menthol soaps. Most can be identified by a thin blue line running horizontally across the label. It says either menthol or glacial. You can check out their site or one of the other stockists to see what catches your fancy.

I've used their Iced Pineapple before and liked it. If you like menthol and pineapple, you'll love that soap.

All of Stirling's products are quality. Not sure what brush you are using, though the synthetic brushes these days are nice and inexpensive and they carry those. I've had good luck with his badger brushes as well. I really like their Sharp Dressed Man scent, though it doesn't have menthol.

They are coming out with a Made in America stainless razor in the next few months. I plan on getting one of those.

But to answer the OPs question, yes, Stirling has a plethora of mentholated and heavily mentholated (Glacial) options. I'm sure you'll be able to find something of interest if you peruse their website.

I think you will find a lot of love for Stirling Soaps here, and elsewhere as well for that matter. I can't help you on the menthol front, but since you asked for other recommendations too, I own and would recommend their Barbershop, Bay Rum, Coniferous, Executive Man, Sharp Dressed Man, and Spice soaps. As Pete123 mentioned, they have some fine brushes. One of my favorites is a Stirling 24mm Finest Badger Fan, which performs well above its price point for me. I also enjoy their Witch Hazel and Aloe products, and wholeheartedly recommend the Bay Rum, Ben Franklin, and Coniferous versions, depending on your scent preferences.

You somehow had the very good sense to zero in on a very good vendor. Enjoy what ever you buy.

+1 on the Stirling Iced Pineapple. Very nice pineapple scent with some menthol. It is a good Summer soap.

Choose the soap scent you like from Stirling and also buy a bottle of their Frost Drops. Add enough frost drops to your lather to match your menthol requirement. Job done.

Here's a crazy idea that could be worth considering...

I see from your profile you are in Southeast PA. I don't know how far NYC is for you, or if you go there regularly. However, in NYC there's a shop, Pasteur's. They sell a lot (I mean LOTS) of soaps (including Stirling).

If it's not too far, or your in the area anyway, could be worth a day trip to smell 20-30 different soaps before buying.
