I haven't purchased any PAA since that interesting transition from HTGAM. I have been watching Douglas Smyth for awhile and decided to buy from PAA. I'm liking his contributions to the community, so to give back I purchased from him. Best...decision...ever (relatively speaking). I saw he had a scent called Aqua D, so I had to grab that, I've heard nothing but great things about Gondolier, so I grabbed that, and I was extremely curious about his soap, so I grabbed that in Clubguy (I mean c'mon, it's based of of Clubman, automatic win). These scents are absolutely amazing! I did a test lather of the soap (which is a super soft croap) and effortlessly get a very slick lather.
I'm REALLY looking forward to my shave tomorrow morning. I will say that if you're on the fence about buying from PAA, I recommend that you do it. The package arrived in 2 days, and everything smells amazing! This is what it's all about, right?
I hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend. Stay classy!

One of my favorite artisans. Love their soaps and splashes. Congrats! And welcome to the club, Man! (hehe...you see what I did there? Wink )

I'm about to place an order for some aftershave samples so I can decide which full bottles to get. I have Al Fin and like it a lot and I'm running low on aftershave options. We gotta have options right? Lol. I already have enough soap for the time being or I would look into some of those. I do have a few of their soap samples and they have performed well for me. Of course my favorite scent of the ones I got, Black Tea, is discontinued.

I can, without a doubt, say that my next soap and AS will be Gondolier. I purchased the tonic since it isn't as strong when I shave before I go to the gym. Plus, the wife likes it!

I love all my PAA aftershaves--Al Fin, Cavendish, Bay Rum, Sangre de Drago, Sk8 Shop, The Beach, Ciderhouse, the frankincense and myrrh stuff, and a couple others I can't recall. The scents generally last longer than my other aftershaves.

By the way, I believe I've got an unopened can of Black Tea soap stuck in the back of the drawer. PM me if you're interested in a trade...

I have only one PAA soap in the rotation and it works extreamly well - lots of lather. I also have one AS which is great.

I have been really happy with PAA as well. I feel like his vegan formula is one of the best out there. Otra is a great aquatic summer scent, Spring Heel Jack (Coffee) is excellent although I do like Ahabs Bitters (Discontinued Coffee Scent) a little bit more. Speakeasy would be my favorite but the scent strength is very weak.

PAA and Crown King are top shelf soaps and aftershaves. The soaps lather extremely easily but do require a lot of water to achieve maximum slickness. Then there are the scents. The husband and wife team know how to make interesting and complex scents.
