It wasn't like 6 months or a year later it was a few months and they should have offered it done something for the original contribute is not paying $23 for a handle

Reminds me of the One Blade, no?

I took a chance and backed them, looks like a decent deal, will probably get this before I get my Model T.
Can't  compare this to the one blade,  the one blade is a great razor and yes it is four times the price and the Rockwell is also a wonderful razor this one is just okay. Also more importantly the one blade was in a Kickstarter they raised and put in their own money and even when they put out the less expensive core razor because it wasn't maybe perfect they offered people their money back

You are correct as I cannot compare this to the One Blade as this item is yet to be released.

I have the Rockwell's and agree they are great razors, however I can't comment on the Model-T.

I don’t have a comment on this product, but since it was mentioned I will say that we offered to (and did) modify original backers’ razors for free. That was also a very simple and minor fix, however. Far from a redesign.

This is a reply to Standard and his comments. Yes I agree with you that there is always improvements and that should not be refunded. Those that you mentioned were not kickstarter's. And those people or companies use their own funds for their business. Occam used the funding from Kickstarter 2 perfekt a product I did not pay for them to do that I paid for the and supported them to get a product that was ready to go not to experiment with my money. Usually the kickstarter money is used to produce what was already made not to take people's money and then put out a product that was not as good as it should be and then a few months later put out an improved version and still ask for more money from people to do this. And you can't compare shaving brushes with razor they are two different animals a brush the hair constantly changes depending upon where the batch comes from and those companies did not ask for other people's money to start their company

I have found the phone number for their company so I will call them I do not want to trash them on a public forum. I will speak to them personally and see what they have to say. I do wish them well and that they do succeed and are successful as I already have contributed to that. I would just like to see the customers being taken care of appropriately and fairly

First I think Backland Razor is among the most honest and reputable shaving vendors today. Besides that - excellent products.
My comment was more related to handle lengths changing to 85mm for newer versions. My comment should be taken as excellent artisan making an even better razor.

- I mentioned Rockwell and Blackbird, these are/were Kickstarters
- I have no idea of the split of the Kickstarter $$ between design, Kickstarter fees, manufacturing, and profit. A prototype is required.

Paradigm Titanium Razors are $395. New and improved Version 2 came out 6-9 months after the original and V2 production could be double. What should the original version buyers expect?

I have all of Paradigm Razors and they are all exceptional I won't say one is better than the other they are just different and he used his own money to start his company. As Blackbird stated they did make good on the second version to the original Kickstarter supporters and Rockwell also gave extras out for all the support is because of their delays. I am only sharing my feelings here and not looking to get into any conflict or argument with anyone. I am in a business as well and I always take care of my customers I just feel that there's something inappropriate and unfair here and I will take it up tomorrow when I call the company

I am really really happy now. I was exceptionally fortunate and able to get my favorite Paladin handle, my favorite Paladin color, my favorite Paladin loft/shape and a March 2018 knot. Hopefully post a photo in New Acquisitions next Monday. I am now questioning my need for the Paladin brush I purchased 18 days ago (which I also liked with the Feb 2108 knot).

I have no issues with Kickstarter campaigns - not everyone has the financial resources or friendly bankers for starting a business. In theory, the Kickstarter products should be lower priced with the user financing. I even bought a bed pillow on Kickstarter - great price and nice pillow.

I have no issues with product enhancements. New products are a fact of life - computers, TV's, phones, trendy colors, etc. I admit "buyers disappointment" when something new and improved is introduced. Google and possibly Apple have a trade-in program for loyal/repeat phone customers (I did utilize the Pixel trade-in this year). Also, keep in mind upgrades are different from replacing/repairing defective products.

Google and Apple have deep pockets and probably high margins allowing trade-in's with generous offers to existing customers. I have no idea of Occam's bank account and trade-in's appear to be rare to non-existent in the shaving industry.

I have the V1 version and was going to back this V2, but you can only get the handle if you previously backed them. That makes no sense to me. I think the handle is fine as is. I just wanted the improved head without spending nearly $50.
