I shave in the evening.

Part of what I like about wet shaving is the history and historical rituals. I read that alcohol based aftershave has been used for years to prevent infection, so I use Pinaud Clubman. I also like Cello shave soap and Mitchell's wool fat. All of these brands have been around a long time.

Unrelated to history, I also put some lotion on my face to keep it moisturized. I don't put a lot and it soaks in pretty quickly.

That's exactly what I started doing recently. I always use an ASB after waking up, but I'd only use tend skin and witch hazel after my shaves in the evening.

Mostly a night shaver. T.N. Dickinsons witch hazel followed by aftershave splash. If I had a bad shave then I follow that up with Razorock problem solver or Lucky Tiger aftershave/face tonic in the warmer months Nivea in the cooler months.
