I have round 2 test pucks available for evaluation. Updated ingredient list includes using Chamomile tea as the H20, lanolin, Shea butter, and avocado oil. Getting 2 scents, 16 pucks total. (although I don't know if the shea/avocado are in separate batches, I can say lanolin will be in all new batches to improve lather stability)

So I need some volunteer testers for the new round of sheep soap. Preferably the same testers from round one. Your feedback is invaluable to help the maker produce the best possible product for the masses. I will be picking them up tonight and can start shipping out next week. I think I have Entasis and Dave in KY as testers, but am looking for many more. Also, when volunteering, please PM me with your shipping address as I didn't/don't save any from the last round to make sure my DFS box didn't go over it's limit.

Thank you DFS for helping me bring the soap to market.

I'll give it another shot if you've at least checked it yourself to know you are in the ballpark with it Happy2

Well guys, upon further review and testing in my lab (aka bathroom sink) I have deemed this batch not worthy for testing. While it is markedly improved, it's just not there. So, the maker has a few more tricks to add to the recipe and she will made more, until it masses my muster, then I will notify you guys when it is ready to mail out again. Sorry for the delay.

No worries, it takes time to get it right but will be worth it.

Dave/DFS,
We have hit upon what I feel is a successful sheep fat shave soap. I have 2 batches, both I have tested at length.

Batch 1--Hempflower and oakmoss. Poured as half pucks. popped out of mold before frozen. Smells absolutly fantastic and performs in the top tier. But ugly appearance. (because of early handling)

Batch 2--Fresh dew and cannibis. Full pucks (that I may cut in half) They are pretty. They perform top tier. Scent is subdued but noticable. (mostly because batch 1 smells so glorious)

Soaper tells me the singular difference between the two batches is one has lanolin, and the other has shea butter. (she won't tell me which is which for obvious reasons) Scent and aesthetics aside, they are both high level performers. They may even challenge users to forego aftershave given the qualities of the sheep fat. Evaluators will be asked to judge shave qualities moreso than the scents. (even though I am in love with batch 1 scent)

I have 5 names and addresses in my PM box that have volunteered to evaluate. If you haven't PM'd me since Sept and want to evaluate one, shoot me a PM.

Enjoy your Veterans day, and stay safe.

Putting pkgs together. If you haven't PM'md me your address since Sept or Nov, and would like to get a half-puck to evaluate, shoot me your address and I will get it out tomorrow with the rest. (I only have 4 half pucks remaining) 2 from batch #1 and 2 from batch #2 as described above.
Thank you DFS!

Hello DFS.
As promised, the samples went out today. Everyone should be getting them shortly.(Dave, you got a half a puck of each) So my thoughts on each;
I didn't bloom either one. lather popped up and continued to build.
My shave area has 6 screw in fluorescent lights. But the lather on each soap had a iridescent glow/reflection. This was repeatable for me. But was I just seeing things?
I challenge you to withold ASL from your face, at least for an hour or so. Then, if available, ask your SO for a softness check. (because we can't trust ourselves) The skin conditioning qualities of my sheep fat soap are far greater than I expected.

If you still have the questionnaire, please complete a new one and either PM it to me or email it to me....including all thoughts and views you fell relevant that the maker should know.

And again, thank you DFS for allowing me and members to test and improve my shave soap. With luck, this personal account will morph to a vendor account in the near future.
