True, but reading WK's description carefully it seems clear that it's not your typical aquatic fragrance (i.e. Cool Water, etc.). In fact, aquatic is only mentioned in relation to the rain note. I think people were expecting more sea, less earth.

I really wanted a very sporty aquatic here and I'm glad I talked to the vendor who explained to me that if I wasnt looking for earthy to avoid purchasing this one. I wish I could put Caties Bubbles La Marche de Rasage scent along with the performance of a Wholly Kaw because then I'd really be onto something. Anyway, Tempest did not sound like it was for me and the more reviews I read seem like its very much an earthy forward scent.

I did a couple shaves with the WK Tempest and I like the scent very much. It smells to me rather similar to the B&M Fougere Gothique, though much lighter and less "cologny"

Not to derail from the Tempest discussion, but WhollyKaw scents seem to often spark different notions in different people.

I had my friend smell Merchant of Tobacco. He picked up on a tobacco scent right away. What do I smell when I take a whiff of it? Chocolate and perfume… (And I love it.)

Project Leather is another example. Looking at reviews, a lot of people are picking up something else before the leather. I do, too. Thankfully, I don't mind, since I love everything I've tried from WhollyKaw so far. But I can see how the scents can be a bit baffling in some instances.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I immediately loved the chocolate of MoT when I huffed the tub, but once I got it all home I really waffled on the scent. Before long I was definitely sold.

Anyone take a run at the three new offerings today? I went ahead and picked up the Grapefruit, Coconut and the Rose Concerto. We will see how it goes.

Buddy of mine picked up Grapefruit. CRC is a nice rose scent, definitely spring worthy and I'm glad Sri brought it back this year. CRC is good stuff, but I still prefer YRP in the DM base over it Smile.

Crap I just realized I am going to derail this thread as it was about Tempest only. I'll repost my other post under the normal Wholly Kaw.
