First shave this morning with the L2++. Beautiful razor with tight tolerances. Definitely more "slanting" to it than the wunderbar. It's been awhile since I've owned one, but I remember it pretty well. I saw the early reviews being difficult to load, so the first thing I did when I received it was toss in a twice used feather. No issues with loading whatsoever. For my first shave I wanted to use a new Gillette platinum, my usual go to blade for new razors. That blade was a bit difficult to load. Almost like the posts were a hair too big with the curving of the blade. Was able to work it on, but you can see where the blade holes are bent out a little bit. This may be one of those blade specific razors where some blades load a little better than others. Regardless, the first shave was great. Fairly wide sweet spot that I found very easily. Super smooth and quite efficient. Not too much blade feel and never felt like I was going to get bit. Ended up with a nice DFS.

I have tried my L2++. I found quite similar to you. It has quite high efficiency and minimum blade feel, I think this is the main purpose of slant razors.
It is a great razor, really like it. I don't have any issues with blade loading, either.

Very good to know!!! i love my Wunderbar and i had in my mind to buy Konsul by Rex Supply.....I think i'll wait and i'll listen what they will say about it....Anyway, if this new adjustable/slant razor will need more than one plate...I don't know which one i'll buy ( Razorock or Rex...)

I'm still on the fence about slants....I've never felt much benefit of using a slant over a regular DE, but perhaps maybe if I tried something like the wunderbar or this super slant, maybe it might sway my decision?

I don't mind slants and have had many (some still around but vintage). That said, I saw no difference in results of shaves including with the Wunderbar (previous to the recent release). Just my worthless opinion Big Grin

Marhos, saw you are selling yours. Was something off or is your collection too full? Once I am established long enough I'll try dming you.

Just too many razors and it doesn't crack into my top lineup. It really is a great shaver, just a tad below the efficiency I prefer.

because the claims around slants don't hold up to scrutiny. The benefit of a guillotine is to reduce the surface area a cutting force is being applied to by using an acute angle. News flash, all razors cut at an acute angle. Furthermore, this is most beneficial when cutting something thick like squash or, in the case of old world executions, a human neck. You are not going to notice the same benefit with hair. That just leaves blade rigidity found with helical slants.

That being said, the wunderbar is still a great razor. Efficient and smooth. Will have to get my hands on a superslant soon for comparison.

Hype or not, I do enjoy using slants, and the superslant in particular. The torque on the blade creates a slightly different face feel, for me any way. It adds some diversity to the rotation.

For those that have used both, is the Superslant basically a torqued BBS? It sure looks like it from the pictures. Curious to see how the two compare. I've not used the BBS yet but was thinking of picking on up.
