This is the same Wunderbar slants they sold before only they have added five baseplates from mild to aggressive. Next year they will add an OC and additional base plates. The price is the same as the original Wunderbar $130 which to me is a bargain considering they are made in Canada from 316 stainless steel.

That's why I looked like the Wunderbar on the posted link, now I understand.
 Pretty nice idea though.

Confused2 I'm not curious enough.

While I think Joe has gone a good job delivering quality CNC razors at a decent price point, none of them have ever found the sweet spot for me. Also, despite not having done the math, the cost of razors and plates will add up fast. It would have been nice if there had been a pass around with all options so that you could make an informed decision.

From pics and description I got.the impression the design has been tweaked a bit? Not sure existing Wunderbar owners can just pick up new baseplates?

LOOT, I'm having a Biden moment ... are you saying you have one of these razors in NC ?
No. I was just creating a passaround cause Andrew kinda promised there was gonna be one. Just being proactive, Mr. Jimmy. As it turns out, I was counting Andrew's chickens prior to him hatching.

Will not know until the razors and plate are released for sale and RR adds them to their ranking chart.

Thanks LOOT for the reply. I didn't recognize it as a Wunderbar to to photo angle ... or whatever  Rolleyes So as I mentioned, I've been a slant collector for years. Merkur, Apollo, Ben Hur ... other obscure names, and many no name German slants. I had decided the Merkur 37C with the heavier handle (than the three piece) was the best of the lot ... until the Wunderbar came out.

So in the photo is what I believe was the first iteration of the Wunderbar. No Canada stamp, or anything else, and I believe that was the earliest handle. One way or the other it was the best slant I ever shaved with, and when I had the opportunity to pick up the "Oil Can" Wunderbar I jumped on it.

So this thread stimulated me to shave with my SS Wunderbar for the first time in a dog's age, and ti was a great shave. No surprise. Now I"ve decided to finally shave with the Oil Can. I have kept it in the Razorock box all these years and it's never touched water.

Ordered the L1 plate.
I asked where it would rank in their chart and they said somewhere around mild or mild-medium.

Hi Slantman,
This is a completely different razor from the Wunderbar, in terms of geometry.
The SuperSlant tops and bases are not compatible with the Wunderbar.
Currently, we have 5 different plates for sale, there is a total of 9 plus 2-3 OC bases coming in early 2023.
I think we have really perfected the slant geometry after 2 long & expensive years of prototyping and testing; I know everyone says this, but this is truly the smoothest and most efficient slant I've shaved with, I have been using it on my head for months now and every time I try something else I got right back to it. The nice thing about the SuperSlant is it can be customized from very mild to extremely aggressive and anywhere in between.  Hopefully, community members can trade and try different bases amongst themselves, maybe settling on 2-3 they like the best.
