Final thoughts now having 10+ shaves in on this razor.

First off with the Schick blade the performance finally fell below a BBS finish on the 5 setting which I used for almost all the shaves after 8 shaves. I usually get somewhere between 10 - 15 shaves with a Schick blade in other injectors. That highlights another shortcoming of this razor is that the blade exposure is too minimal to get the most out of these blades. I don't have that problem on other mild vintage Schick injectors with more blade exposure.

It is a great razor even with it's shortcomings and a good entry level injector for people who don't want to pay $75+ for a Supply V2 or have an aversion to D.P.R.s (dead people's razors). It does perform while the blades are sharp just don't expect to set any records for blade longevity in this razor.

Pro tip unlike DE razors the shallower the angle the better and to maintain pressure keep a finger somewhere near the razor head when holding. Finally if it doesn't perform to expectations with the Personna blades it comes with after setting to 5, try a Schick injector blade which is much sharper next if technique isn't an issue or lack of enough passes.

I'd also like to add it won't supplant my favorite injectors but it is staying in the den and will have a spot in the razor rotation.

To show how little blade exposure the Parker has. Here it is next to a Schick Type L Easy Rider razor. The Easy Rider is also a milder shaving razor than the Parker. Notice how much more blade is exposed on the Easy Rider.

Begin necromancing an otherwise dead thread now that the V2 is out.

I finally had a chance to use my V2 today and am happy to report one of the biggest issues with the V1 which was it's lack of performance with Personna blades seems to be no longer a problem based on my first shave. I used a Personna blade and set it to 5. If it couldn't get the job done at 5 with a fresh blade it won't on the lower settings either. It almost got to the BBS finish line unlike in a V1 which the shaves almost didn't leave the starting line with Personnas. It is also much more aggressive on the 5 setting now being on par with a razor like a Schick E2 or E3 injector. People with less thick or wiry facial hair should get even better results.

Is it easy to tell if a Parker adj. injector is a V1 or a V2 please?

Yep. The V1 didn't have Parker laser etched on the handle.

I quite enjoyed it.  I did a few videos on it last year.  It's back on my to-buy list as well.  I gave my V1 away to a friend to get her away from carts.
