OK, 2nd shave with the "Chick" blade and I used Cyril L. Salter tallow (puck) soap. Fellas, I received a perfect DFS after the first WTG pass and just for giggles I did an XTG quasi pass. Sure, if I take a credit card, cotton ball or a small Pekingese dog and rub ATG I can feel the slightest of nubs. But for many, yours truly included, to go after these with fervent ATG passes and/or multiple touch ups = ingrown hair Hell. I have done as such before with other razors and it's impossible to tell the difference by looking at even kissing distance in the mirror. I hate to employ an old maxim, but shaving is beard reduction and not elimination. For people who aren't "chasing the dragon" of BBS this is a superb modern injector razor.

Shaving is what each of us want. I like a smooth face. I'm not in this for a nice look from 20 feet. Glad you are enjoying it.

I've seen your videos and you'd have to pull a gun on me to make me get closer than 20 ft.   Tongue   Big Grin   Wink

Finally got a chance to use this razor. Here is my initial impressions.

First off I used it at the 5 setting and with a Schick Twin blade to see if it would work with one. I think they goofed big time on the adjustment settings the 5 setting should have been lowest for starters. This razor is mild, closest comparable razor with a twin blade is the 70s style Schick Type L1 razors with this still being milder than that razor but not by much. As far as build goes it is a solidly built razor and no issues I can see of. As far as technique goes there is only one usable angle and that cap to the face. If the razor isn't making noise it isn't cutting, that also holds true for your cream if you stop feeling and hearing the blade it is time clean it before continuing on. This could be tweaked by bending the guard to give it more gap but I don't know if I will modify mine yet. It does get the job done but if you are baby chaser or like aggressive razors you'll probably want to pass on this. If you think something like a Schick L1, Gillette Tech, Fatboy or Slim works wells for you then you'll take to this razor.

I still need to use this with a single edge injector blade to see how much it will differ in performance.
