The Razor next to the Parker is the Gillette Twinjector razor and is my favorite injector razor of all. The blade in the Gillette is the very first blade installed from the keyed pack and is still shaving as if it were brand new, roughly about 20 shaves in with it. Let’s see if the Schick Twin II can put some ooomph into the Parker and make it a more efficient razor while keeping it’s inherently smooth nature. Tomorrow morning for sure......

Yeah they are in the right razor designed for them. The Type N razors they are sublime. Only issue is thick multiple day growth they don't do well with and clog up easily. In those cases one really needs to do the first pass with a single blade to remove the growth before finishing up with the twin blade.

The Parker shipped with a new blade but I loaded a new one anyway. The first sensation of the razor is the lightness. Seriously next to a Supply Co injector this felt toy like.  I have the same feeling about the vintage injector razors I have tried.  I dialed the Parker wide open and had little to no blade feel. The angle was very easy to find and maintain.  I found the razor to be a smooth shaver.  Three passes and touch ups caught the baby but I had to work at catching the little guy.  I am sure that my results will improve with use.  I will load a Schick Proline to see if that improves the efficiency which I don't expect.  f you are looking for a very aggressive razor then I would look elsewhere.  If however, you are looking for a smooth reasonably efficient razor that exhibits the characteristics of vintage adjustable injectors at a great price, the Parker Adjustable is worth consideration.

I concur Clint with your findings. Well made, light weight and very easy to use. Will it stay? Unfortunately, no. The PAL for me is equal in smoothness, has a bit more weight and actually shaves a bit closer than the Parker.  I’ll be looking to PIF it sometime very soon, perhaps a Christmas PIF here on DFS.
Happy shaves my friend.....

Razor: Parker Adjustable Injector
Blade: Schick Chick (1)
Brush: Sorrentino Clown Puke
Soap: Clown Puke
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Skin Bracer
Fragrance: Acqua Di Gio Profumo

1st outing with the New Parker Adjustable Injector. I had loaded a new Schick Chick blade instead of the one that was pre-loaded as I wanted a known good blade to try the razor out. I set it on 5 and went to town. In a word...................MILD. Set on 5 was mild and at times hard to tell I was making contact and cutting things down. In the end I did get a close drs to BBS shave but I can tell the growth will not be staying at bay as long a usual. I've never used an "M" adjustable so I have nothing other than my "G" injector to compare it to. It's not close to the "G" for efficiency and the "G" is comfortable for me. I may try another shave or 2, or it may go to the BST as I'm pretty sure I'll be grabbing the "G" when I want an Injector shave. Clown Puke soap and the Clown Puke Sorrentino Brush used and topped with Skin Bracer and will hit it with some Acqua Di Gio Profumo. Now some Guatemalan Antiqua Coffee and Pumpkin Pecan bread while perusing the forum. Have a great day DFS !!! May be appearing in a BST near you............Video in my Video Log/Journal section if you want to see it.

Good write up Bro-ham. I’m not as down on it as you are but, I agree that there are better performing Injectors out there. Saving grace is that it’s new, well made & anyone that likes a smooth and mild shaver will really enjoy this tool. I’ll get a Schick Twin II in there in a day or two and see if it helps the Parker in cutting ability.
Be safe, Bruh....

Thanks Amigo, I forgot to try a Twin....... I should have..... Big Grin

This mornings shave is in the books and a fairly good one. I installed the Schick II Twin blade into the Parker and set it to the max 5 setting just to see if a better quality shave could be attained. For my personal findings, mission accomplished. But, it was not an eye opener or a significant improvement in the Parkers ability to cut hairs with more tenacity or effectiveness. The first thing and perhaps the most important of this mornings shave experience was just the actual improvement on blade feel on the face. The standard blades issued with the Parker might be plenty good for many but, for those that felt it a bit lackluster, the Schick II Twin takes the Parker to another level of cutting & shave comfort. The pairing worked to about as good a shave that one could hope for in a razor that was designed to be mild and easy to use. It was a DFS finish in 3 good passes with some touch ups all around to get there. A bit more work yes but, the inherently mild & smooth nature of the Parker and Schick combo practically eliminating any potential creation of irritation or discomfort. I mean, you can literally run this razor around your face without fear of causing discomfort/irritation, unless of course someone suffers from some sort of acute skin condition. Barring that skin condition issue/sensitivities, it’s nearly impossible to cut oneself or arise the red skin inflamed brigade. Not is all perfect though as I still did not feel as deep and close a shave that I’ve experienced with other razor formats & blades. Not saying that the Parker will not cut close for some, it just doesn’t cut close enough for me as I still felt the slightest of stragglers along the tougher spots. I’m a BBS chaser and that is my fault, not the razor itself. My curse is that I’m driven to achieve the best result possible that I can possibly attain. The Parker & Schick Twin II did an admirable job of getting me smooth for the most part without an ounce of discomfort, nics or weepers to speak of. And for many, that’s what it’s ultimately all about. Comfort and a fine feeling shave. I think the Schick “Chick” Proline-B blade will perform just as good if not better than the Twin II. The Schick brand of blades are just a superior performer above the other injector blades out there currently available. Pick a Schick, grab the Parker and if you enjoy smooth, comfortable without putting to much thought into your morning, evening or shower shave, the Parker Injector Adjustable just might be your ticket for a smooth looking/feeling mug........

As we say in English:  therein lies the rub. I knew you & Dave would most likely be punting on this one based on your respective shaving needs.
