Just walked in the house and the package was already there waiting. Opened it up and saw the Parker Injector plus a couple other things like blades, alum bar & shave cream sample. Howie at SSR always throws in a couple of goodies. Real class act and a solid gentleman to deal with. Nice construction though it’s a bit light. Lighter than the PAL adjustable which if you have the OG it will be quite apparent in hand. The blade ends are not covered on the Parker Injector unlike the PAL Injector. No difference to me but, just an observation. Blade is already installed from SSR but, you might have to insert the injector key to align it just a bit and show more of the blades edge. I did on mine as the blade was barely noticeable. It opened the head and reseated the head & blade perfectly. Pics below for comparison between the Parker & PAL....

A CCS just a few minute ago. Shaves similarly to the PAL just a bit more milder to my skin. Wide open and it’s not a face peeler just like the OG. It’s an everyday shaver that will give smooth and comfy shaves. If your expecting an efficient monster with a 2 pass routine, sorry you’re going to have to turn around and search elsewhere. I used the supplied blade that was already installed and it did an ok job. I also used the supplied shave cream sample of the Taconic Eucalyptus Mint and this stuff is pretty awesome with plenty of slickness, glide & protection. Hugely underrated shaving product that gets NO MENTION from anyone. I’d like to try the Parker with a Schick Proline-B and see what it can do which probably won’t be much. I’m hoping that MAYBE I can get a Schick Twin II blade in the Parker, just to see if it will take it as the Twin does not fit in the PAL. Anyhow, it was a decent shave that did exactly what it was designed to do. Give comfortable and acceptable shaves without thinking to much. Not a bad tool at all for anyone that wants to dip their toes into the world of injectors. Price is right too.....

Thanks, Gus.  Sounds like I won't be missing out on much if I stick to my PAL.

Correct me please if wrong, but weren't there two different styles of Pal injectors one of which was a lemon and had a funky head angle if I recall?   Huh

GB, I assume that you have shaved with other Schick injectors and hopefully with the M Model adjustable. If so, compare the shaving betwixt the two please.

Had me worried now too as I hoped it was at least similar to the "G" Injector I have Big Grin Back to my AC style SE's Tongue

I am not worried as I use an M Model on 5 or 6 for my cheeks/neck and on 3 to 4 for around the mouth & chin. That's plenty "aggression" for me. I have never pursued the "dolphin smooth" shave as invariably that requires ATG and for me that is a quick recipe for ingrown hairs.   Cry

It hurts my heart** AC style is being openly besmirched in this thread.

**no, not really =) Love me some AC blade shaving. If Parker make more of these injectors available soon, I'll likely pick one up. I have some injector blades to use.
