I've got a few vintage razors of my own, 58 Fatboy, 51 Aristocrat and 3 Techs in addition to some modern DE razors. I've not been bitten by the SE bug yet but whgo knows? I'm currently on the lookout for some more vintage razors such as super speeds and the like. Probably nothing later than 1960. How did you amass such a number of razors in a relatively short time period?

Sir, it is funny how that happened, I have been retired from a police force for 18 years after 26 years of service. A couple of years ago and perhaps again now I was in the business of buying gold and silver and went all over the country. We would have three to four sales going and I was responsible for the getting money to our different buyers. On my trips, when I had some time to spare, I would go to antique and junk shops and look for razors. I remember one shop had a cased razor that I thought they were well over priced on and I asked if they had any others. The owner thought for a minute and said, yes I have a box. In this box was about nine razors in good user condition so I asked him what he would take for them figuring about $100. The man asked if they were worth $20 dollars and I have never removed a twenty dollar bill from my pocket so fast. I have gone to shops from Arizona to South Dakota all the way to Florida. To me there might be more fun in the chase than the purchase.

That sounds like a blast - I agree that the journey , the chase, the process or what have you is usually most of the fun.
