I absolutely love the Ambassador....Did I read right that the blade gap on this is equivalent to about a setting of 3?

First shave with the Envoy

Rex Envoy
Kai stainless blade
Rex Supply Barber Shop shave soap u(enclosed with pass around Envoy)
Omega wood handle boar

The finish is first class and the grip is second to none with deep knurling. I believe the length of the handle (chunky) and head suppose to mimic the old Gillette razors. I get it and it works for me. I normally do only two passes and I kept to that system of shaving. First pass with the grain and across the grain (chin area). Blade feel (exposure) is perfect without causing irritation. Second pass was against the grain and same results. After two passes my face and neck were BBS. I really like this razor and its performance. I will use the razor four more times or until the blade dulls out. For $125 for 316 stainless steel razor made in the USA its a bargain. Nice work Matt.

Day 2

REX Supply Envoy
Kai stainless blade (2)
Homelikeshaving sandalwood shave soap
Omega boar

I really like the shave soap from Homelikeshaving. Lathers very easy even in hard water.

Second shave as good as the first. Zero irritation and and a smooth and close shave. I can do this in my sleep. If you are looking for a mid aggressive razor that gets the job done this is it.

Final use this morning before I ship it to the next member. I did a total f four shaves and all I can say is this is one nice razor that shaves beautifully. The build quality is spectacular and well worth the price (IMHO).
Off it goes this morning

Just curious. Last post for the West Coast was Dec 13th (18 days ago). Is the razor lost?
