Pics or it didn't happen.... Wink Seriously though, my understanding was that OneBlade changed the razor pivot pin design so I don't see how its a used handle but you never know.

Not to pee in anyone's Cheerios that are digging the Core, but I can get a better, more efficient shave, with fewer passes with a Bic Metal disposable...

I doubt they'll make any more of the version you returned. If so, your experience will become dated quickly.

Tom from OneBlade reached out to me to provide exchange instructions. It sounds like they've been busy, and thankfully, he didn't request any blades from me. Just the razor in an envelope-- no box or stand necessary either. I'm really excited to try v2.

I received my Core 2.0 and I have just shaved with it.

Long story short:

1) Neither Core 1.0 and Core 2.0 are at the level of the Genesis 2.0.

2) I liked the Core 1.0 but I thought it was really very mild and in order to achieve a perfect shave I needed to do more work than with the Genesis.

3) The Core 2.0 is an improvement aesthetically and in performance. It gets closer to the Genesis and overall I give it full marks and I would purchase it again.

4) My experience with Oneblade as a company, since the time I purchased my first Genesis has been just outstanding.

Thank you for posting your experience. I returned my Core V1 and opted for a refund to see how the next release was handled before jumping on board with V2.  There hasn't been a lot of info but seems the consensus is that it is a little more efficient then the V1. Hard to believe those two little nubs "lift points" would do much but apparently they help. I'm still dragging my feet thinking some great discount/sale will happen on the Genesis and then I can somehow justify it but at $400 that just won't happen. Reason I say that is I really would have no need for both and $50 towards the Genesis is a nice chunk. They would run the original OB for $200 (1/3 off) that would equal $267 on the second generation. Still more than I would have ever thought I would contemplate but at least at that price I have some room for my brain to dream. Angel

Well, keep in mind that the current price of $50 is for the Core, the blades and the stand that I use for the Genesis as well since it is more practical than the one that came with it (plus 1 month trial, and 1 year warranty and an impressive customer service).
I would say that what you pay for the razor itself is not more than $25-$30. Not too bad even if one day you buy the Genesis and you may consider the Core as a spare or travel razor.

Got my v2 core in today.

And would have to say this is probably the most mixed I have ever felt about a razor yet.

It is super gentle, no nicks/cuts/weepers/creepers, and no alum burn at all by the end of the shave! Which is very impressive considering the amount of swirl on my neck and how sensitive it is. If I am trying to go for BBS I always get some weepers/irritation there no matter how much prep work I do, no matter the razor, and no matter how great the lather is; I am fine if I only go for a DFS.

However the core took forever to get there. 5 passes and three touch up passes. One of which was on my cheek and I can physically see the stubble in the mirror but for the life of me couldn't get pick up by the core normally. I had to both stretch the skin and puff up my cheeks and aggressively tackle it with the core to finally get that spot.

I am not sure if the ability to get BBS without irritation is worth 2 extra passes and 2 more touch up passes; totaling for 4 more passes.

ScientificShaves Wow, lotta swipes! A week of that and you'll have an arm like a fiddler crab.

If I kicked down $400 for the Gen and it required anymore effort than what I have used before and didn't deliver the absolute finest shave I could get; Poirot says, "No!" It has to be bigger, better, faster, more........for the non shave dork public customer. Expensive is fine but easy, simple and convenient can't be ignored. It has to deliver.

I don't got a horse in the race anymore (returned) and I haven't shaved with either. I am looking at this as an interesting business model and how this plays out. I can say that they did not do enough due diligence. Improper focus.
