I got my Era today so I am thankful for Sunday delivery. I do have to say that this razor was shipped in the most haphazard way I have ever seen. The top cap, handle, and main base plate were not assembled and were clanking around in the paper box which resulted in a smaller burnished area on my top cap. I took a jewelers cloth to it and it’s fine but I am glad it wasn’t any worse.

Which reviewer? It’s also possible to miss them in the accessory box since they’re small.

The washer is there so that you can choose whether you care about your base plate being marked by the handle or not. It doesn’t impact performance either way.

He may have missed it. Just said he thought it was supposed to come with them but didn't get them. He said he wouldn't have used them anyway and was pleased with the razor. Said it was a winner. Pelagic Shave was the YouTuber

Received a box on behalf of another. Many O-Rings. What is the usage?

Top cap, base plate and handle all loose inside box clanking about. Washer was loose in box also

Gather there were snark replies to my enquiry. Apologies but not something been following and rarely on social media over past couple years (just too toxic)

I can't speak to Blackland Razors, but Karve Shaving uses them for shipping, to keep the handle and base plate from rubbing too much during temp changes (air flights) while heading to your home. I know folks debate whether or not to use them while shaving, but I say, do what works for you! I don't use them unless I am sending a razor through the mail, for what it's worth.
