I am both saddened and relieved by this information. Those specs don't sound efficient enough for me.

But that's one fewer thing I have to buy. So that is good!

Blackland Razors   Shane I know you don't like to publish exact gap/exposure because it can be misleading but is it possible to tell us which plates are negative, neutral, or positive?

Shane @ Blackland Razors has moved the goalposts on The Era yet once again.  It looks like he is practicing to be a politician.  I am not impressed.  I'm not going to buy something today, which I will not see until March.  If I buy one at all, it will only be when they are properly for sale.  This game is getting old, and is beginning to cost him my trust.

Why pay up front? Yes, I can cancel and be refunded, but this isn't to fund anything? Is it for commitment or to get a more accurate head count? Funny, but now Karve Shaving announced when the Overlander would drop. It dropped on schedule, and you paid, and got the razor, from Canada, within a couple of weeks. When stocks depleted, you simply sign up for email notifications when next batch ready. Seems like Chris decided to stop collecting payments and making buyers wait for stock.

My 2 cents. I want to read reviews first. The delays curbed my enthusiasm. Not saying I won't get one someday, just won't be late February or early March.

I am looking forward to using my Sabre next week. Shane hit it out of the park on that one, IMO!

I thought I heard Blackland Razors say the Era pre-sale will ship around the 3rd week of February in his Instagram video yesterday?

I just pre-ordered an Era with a level 3 SB & OC plate. I'm excited to try it out and see how well the 3d printed stuff looks & functions.

Kudos, Shane!

That's what I thought Andrew. I wonder where draebeard heard there would be another delay to March? Because I didn't watch it until after I saw the post, I was listening for any reference to March. I might have missed it, but I didn't hear it.

I wonder if it relates to when the regular sales go live? If they're shipping the pre-orders at the end of February they might give them themselves two weeks to correct any issues, restock the shelves, prep the warehouse, drink some Red bull, etc before they turn it over to normal processes... Maybe? That makes sense, but I don't know if it's a "delay". Also, if pre-orders don't fly out the door, I could also see Shane pushing through smoothly to live orders without a break or any fanfare really.

Of course this whole post could be for naught if I miss something... Which I often do, lol.

Well I preordered the Tradare when that was in preorder and Shane delivered as promised. I think the preorder is more to give a sense of demand to help with future production but I could be wrong. Anyways we will see, I will be glad to be the canary in the coal mine

I'm waiting, not because I'm angry, but because I'd like to see the reviews first. Need to get a better feel for what plate I may want to try. Not to mention, I just got a new razor to play with. So I have time on my side.

I do look forward to the reports on it though.
