If Bufala is still available what are the differences compared to the new Siero?

Not 100% sure myself but from what I can see it is the addition of Donkey milk whey and Flax Seed (not sure if this is in addition to the hops from Bufala or a replacement to it). Not sure what whey might add beside maybe some amino's and not sure about the flax seed as it seems to be for the omega's but the previous base has omega's as well. Pretty sure Sri would be a lot more knowledge on the "why" of each ingredient base. Just thought I might help (or maybe not help / not totally sure if this post if helpful but hope it is) in the meantime.

We looked at the ingredient deck top down and recast the whole deck with changes to existing ingredients and addition of other ingredients.

Siero is built around whey from water buffalo milk and donkey milk.  On top of that more of the Omegas were used.   The flax seed imparted other qualities to the lather and post shave. Cosmetic chemists helped us along the way and we had to change the process a lot to get to the soap qualities.

There is more we could do but that experiment is still ongoing.

I used the new Siero base Wholly Kaw Fougere Mania this morning.  It was excellent.  Top Tier.  Really, really good.  I'm very happy with it  Happy2  There you go BPman  I said I'd let you know my thoughts.

So I mentioned on another thread that I thought the Fougere Mania fragrance was very nice and that it harkened back for me to the time I first experienced WK Chypre Rose Concerto - it was new and different and I really liked it.  Same with Fougere Mania.  The scent was pretty strong on the puck but very pleasant and manageable in lather form.  I used my Semogue Owners Club Boar which lathers very nicely and the Captain's Choice copper lather bowl.  The Sierra base looks much like the normal WK base, sort of pale and light coloured.  It lathered very well - nothing unusual or stringy although it stayed in a creamy state for a little longer than I expected but then as I slowly hydrated the lather built into that wonderful rich creamy goodness.  I did not use any pre-shave this morning so I could judge the soap purely on its own merits.  I used a Rockwell 6s plate 4 with a Feather blade.  It was an excellent 3 pass shave.

Sri, the time and effort you put into this base was worth it.  Its superb  Happy2 I've always considered Wholly Kaw a top tier soap and the Sierra base only strengthens that opinion

Marko,

Many many thanks for the awesome feedback.  The Siero formulation is meticulously crafted from the ground up to deliver the lather and post shave properties you experienced.  More scents are lined up in Siero. And I plan to announce some of them during Black Friday. Our Up Next page will have more information.

Appreciate your support!!
