Mystic Water Soap

I decided to give MW shave soap another go and this time with a full tub instead of samples. I tried some samples a couple years ago and couldn't get it to lather that great. Well, well, well, let me tell you that this tub of Tea Tree Plus lathered very well and with not much effort either. First time using it today with a synthetic tuxedo knot and apparently it worked right off the bat no need to dial it over several shaves ymmv. Excellent glide and post shave, really the best of all my soaps but need to more time to before making such claims

I was looking for a tea tree scented soap and this one sounded quite unique - essential oil blend of tea tree, lavandin, patchouli and lemongrass. I'm really looking forward to using this one again. If you've not tried MW shave soap I highly recommend you consider them. ymmv.

I shaved with the Bergamot, Cedarwood & Juniper sample that Michelle tossed in my order today. It was an excellent shave and I really like the scent. This one, according to the website, is another essential oil (EO) only soap. My face feels really comfortable and soft after the shave. I'd really like to find a matching EO only aftershave splash for this. While not an exact match, Stirling Ben Franklin or even the Vetiver witch hazel aloe might mingle well with it.

Michelle's Lavender soap is quite lovely.

I picked up a few of these recently.

The sensitive skin (unscented) does not get as slick, and actually leaves me cutting my face more because the lather isn't as good.

Lemongrass Blue gum - much better lather than the sensitive skin one. nice scent. glad I got this one

Pumpkin Spice - smelled just like pumpkin pie when I opened it. The second water touched it, all I could smell was cinnamon red hots. On my face - red hots. After - red hots. The day after when it was dry - red hots. Pumpkin smell is gone, it's just red hots. stay away, unless you just want something that smells like red hots

Oatmeal stout - my favorite. This one is great. I Smelled great on my face, after, and felt great.

With regards to the Sensitive Skin, you just need to add more water compared to the other scents. It is the firmest soap that she sells, so it requires a bit more water and time.
I have been using it for quite a few years and the lather is just as good as any of her other scents.

This one really is nice, especially when the weather is warm. Had a sample, and consequently added the full-size to my shopping list.

+1. Sensitive Skin is my benchmark for unscented soaps, and I do add a bit of water as I am both loading and then building the lather. For me, I don't add it all at once, but throughout.
When I started DE shaving 4 years ago, Sensitive Skin was the first artisan soap I bought, and I had a bit of difficulty getting my technique figured out. I actually am using Sensitive Skin as my soap this week, and had a wonderful lather this morning, which reminded me, as this post did, that this wasn't always the case for me. But once I got it figured out for my brush, face, and water, it will never be gone from my shave drawer!
