For a few months now I have been unfairly harsh on the big Stirling synthetic. I have referred to it as being too big, and mentioned that it uses too much soap. After reading some of my previous posts, my tone seems to insinuate that using such a brush is wasteful when smaller brushes can accomplish the same job with less.
I'm here to tell you that those words were WRONG! I committed to using the big Stirling about three weeks ago to see what it's really about. I've come to thoroughly enjoy the 26mm brush. my routine needed a bit of adjustment and my technique needed a slight tweak; but, now I have another synthetic brush to rotate with my Shave Revolution 24mm. The same super quick loading, super quick lather, super quick clean-up, and incredible face feel.
Sorry to you, Big Stirling! I gave you some unfair and undue bad press. You are a wonderful addition to my shave den and will remain a cornerstone of my brushes now and forever.

Very nice. It's always nice when someone revisits a product they didn't care for with an open mind. Sometimes your mind is changed and sometimes not. Either way I think it's worth the effort in many cases.

I don't have the Stirling but do have it's cousin, the Monster. I love big knots as a rule and this is not exception!

Glad that the big guy is treating you well- enjoy that giant pillow for your face Smile

I tried to order one, but they were out of stock. I will try again in the future. A big, fluffy, pillow of a brush for my chrome dome would be nice, me thinks...

If and when I ever shave my dome, it'll definitely be with a brush like this! I think it would be perfect.

I agree with all of the above and must add that you're the first person I've ever heard complain of a brush using "too much soap"! LOL

I completely agree my friend- I have the Poraso version with a slightly shorter loft and think it one of the seven wonders of the world.

Well, maybe a bit of hyperbole but do feel it a great bargain and anybody who wetshaves should own one of the three Smile
