Good call. I did find the OC side to be quite aggressive. I have had to pay attention when using that side more than when I use the SB side. However, I have had DFS or close with three different blades, from a vintage 1967 Gillette blade to a brand new Feather.

Does this razor have 100% proper blade alignment as well?
Sorry for not replying sooner (business stress). Yes, the blade alignment is spot on -- every bit as good as with Gillette NEW. I have a Maggard MR6 that I wish had this good an alignment. It's bad enough that I only dare shave with one side.
