Big Grin I wouldn't be listening to it while sipping a cold beer in the shade that's for sure but in the gym (my basement), lifting weights it has the right stuff to make me work hard.

It is absolutely none of my business to judge anybody's artistic tastes nor would do so.  Typically only state preferences, which amount to nothing given my lack of any real education.  Am but a churl and rebellious soul as churls tend, favouring revolution because can't accept status quo.

This is more my style for relaxed listening.

My son studied classical percussion for a number of years and played everything from Disturbed to Mozart (marimba).  His studio was our living room/dining room area (hearing protection required) and I gained an appreciation for a wide variety of music including metal.  Not all of it that's for sure and I can't take it in large doses but it helped broaden my musical horizons.  My son went on to become an engineer and I'm probably the only father on earth who's disappointed his son became an engineer and not a musician.  I'm kidding, engineers can actually earn a decent living.

Like it - they're going to serenade me during my next workout.  I've been looking for new workout tunes that have the right vibe and that one qualifies.  I've been playing some Rammstein lately.  They have the vibe too

I love it.  Crank that up in your headset and push some steel.

If you've not heard much 5FDP...go ahead and get the new CD F8.  It kicks ass...as does most of their older stuff too.

And if you like Kenny Wayne...they do the best Blue on Black cover out there

I'm not much of a country music fan. My mom force fed it to me as a kid. I can appreciate the talent tho.

I'm a huge TOOL fan...as my username would somewhat indicate.  If your son is a drummer...maybe he would appreciate an up close look at the best drummer on the planet.... Mr. Danny Carey. Do yourself a favor...sit back...relax....and watch the man go to work.

Was accepted to a couple Ivy schools for post grad work...Dad's only comment was: "So, hear you got in....".  He thought education and self-actualization a complete and utter waste of time having experienced the ravages of Russian revolution and WWII battle first hand.
