Music or ? What did you listen to when shaving today?

For some reason I am always amazed to hear how differently the various conductors interpret pieces of music. This Franck symphony sounds much different than how I remember playing it in a college orchestra.

Yup.
One time I woke up in bed and turned on the radio to start my day. It was in the middle of Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major - II Adagio Assai.
I thought "Gee, that sounds like the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, directed by Charles Dutoit".
And that's exactly what it turned out to be. 
Very distinctive, and I'm never quite satisfied with other versions of it.

I dare say it is my favourite piece of classical music. Ever.
Note how parts of the melody are handed off seamlessly between flute, english horn, oboe, and clarinet.

To the naive, Mozart's music sounds simple, but that 'simplicity' is actually purity and clarity, every note falling perfectly where it belongs without anything superfluous. "Too many notes, dear Mozart, too many notes," said Emperor Joseph II after a Mozart performance, to which Mozart replied, "Just as many as necessary, Your Majesty." This 'inevitability' is especially obvious when one is playing something by Mozart in an orchestra and can feel the note progressions.

I know almost nothing about lute music, but I really like it. It seems that it would be more complicated than classical guitar because of the greater number of strings.

One of my favorite movies ever.

The album 'Hush' by Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin. The latter does incredible things with his voice, beautifully matching the cello tones.

Not shaving now, but this came up while I was listening to YouTube Music (you know how it plays similar songs after your list finishes?). I was so floored... I can't imagine being the new-ish musician singing along with Michael McDonald and not ending the day saying, "I suck, I'm going to work at McDonald's instead". Lol. The man is a legend for a reason.
