So thinking I could handle mint juleps, I drank 15. Oooops. I remember the races, but the day was a blur, we had tickets at the finish, row 1! In fact, I disappeared for 30 minutes trying to scrounge up food, and a gentleman leaving the vendor area handed me a grilled chicken saying 'you need this more than I do'. Lol. Beautiful women, fast horses, old school pageantry. Love that time of year in the bluegrass. Next time you come, let me know, I have an old historic house outside of Lexington. Stay there with us and we can do some bourbon training for race day. Seriously, you are invited.(05-02-2020, 04:25 AM)TommyCarioca Wrote:LOVE a fun road trip! We did keep with tradition and poured Mint Juleps and Bourbon/Rocks. The later is why I’m 2 days late posting my shave lol. I’m a fitness guy, booze isn’t my vice lol, annnnnd I’m a lightweight! Wife and I are driving 14 hours to central Kentucky: Our home state - leaving Dallas at 5am. Our eldest son and wife's dad are on the list to visit.
My shave pix will be quite a bit different. My second string tools are waiting for me at our 2nd place. Going to be fun driving - good opportunity to listen to music and view the spring landscape developing along the way.
