Music anyone?

I have mixed tastes in music, and I wonder if you do, too. 

List a one or two of your favorite songs from different genres...  These are songs that make you stop talking in the car and maybe turn up the radio.  The genres I chose are not the official ones, just a way to categorize. 

Here is my list:

Jazz: Girl from Ipanema, Linus and Lucy
Rap: Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys
Rock: All along the watchtower, Jimi Hendrix; Love reign o'er me, The Who
Protest: For What it's worth, Buffalo Springfield
Country: Hot Rod Lincoln; in the ghetto by Elvis
Classical: Rhapsody in Blue; most of Mozart
Motown: Superstiton, Stevie Wonder

What's on your list?

I love all sorts of music, except jazz and gospel.

right now I'm listening to Jimmy Buffett.

My favorite there is Grateful by Hezikiah Walker

I love many different genres. The only one I absolutely loathe is rap.

Classical: almost anything by Beethoven, especially his Ninth Symphony, also Mozart, and so much more.

Soundtrack: Krull, A Summer Story, Brideshead Revisited, Star Wars (the original; none of the sequels, prequels), and many more

Jazz: Ella Fitzgerald

Bubblegum Rock: Sugar Sugar by the Archies, the Monkees

Epic Music: Behold, A Hero Will Rise, and others

Opera: Ottello, Madama Butterfly (especially Leontyne Price singing Un Bel Di Vedremo), La Juive, and others

There is so much more I could add. The world would truly be a sadder place without music.
