So, who wants to see the new Muhle Rocca R94? I caught wind of a new Rocca being released but very limited information was available on it. I contacted Muhle directly and inquired. About two weeks later it became available so I ordered it directly from them in Germany.

It arrived today and I must say it is a nice looking razor. There are no gaps etc where the top cap meets the base plate and quality control seems to be extremely well for this product.

I will give it a test run tomorrow. Those are not scuff marks/dings on the neck area of the handle.

Does it have some heft to it or is the handle hollow like the Jet Rocca?

I am fairly certain the handle is hollow.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Wanted to buy a rocca before but was worried about quality control. Now I might have to commit.

The latest version is supposed to be completely CNC machined. Earlier versions had problems with the cap because the blade guides were separate pieces and prone to coming apart on some razors. Supposedly it was fixed in v3, which also included a machined base plate. I have a v3 and it has been reliable so far. It is one of the more aggressive razors I own, however, using the correct angle, it is also very efficient.

Any chance you’ve shaved with a blackbird as well to be able to make comparisons? It’s currently one of my two go to razors.

I have a Brass Blackbird. I will repost tomorrow after shaving with this new Rocca. I used to own the Birch bark model Rocca and I remember it being really smooth but very efficient.
