I just got mine shipped earlier this week, the blue one from the mini drop. I cant wait to compare it to my other brushes. Have a B9A on the way as well. Cant wait to hear what others think of the ZT3 compared to other knots.

Just a quick update. I have maybe 4/5 lathers on the brush and it’s getting better and better. VERY soft yet with backbone. No more development of gel than what happened early on but man, what a knot.

I have both B9a and ZT3 (and also a full B9a brush on the way),  just used the ZT3 for the third time now and it obliterates b9a in my opinion.  My preliminary numerical ranking of ZT3 vs B9a would be:

ZT3: 9.8/10 (don't want to give anything 10, just in case something better even exists)
B9a: 8.8/10

Man, I was there sitting earlier, re-thinking everything after using ZT3.

Existential Questions like: Should I even get a Varlet anymore?  Should I sell everything and just buy more Zt3s?  all those came up earlier to me.

I don't know what it is,  it has a SUPERB backbone, but somehow super soft pillowy feel that is addictive to me. I on a waitlist for a handle, which I will then send for another Zt3 for sure Smile

Mine doesn't gel but the hair is of the softest and most pillowy feel with just the right amount of backbone.

Was the other brush the varlet?

could you compare the face feel and knot density to your varlet (s)? (either XD or HD)?

Haven't done yet cause I've only been using the ZT3 since it arrived to break it in. I can only shave so much but once I get my other brushes in my rotation I'll be able to compare notes and will update.

I will if that OK

There is virtually no delta between Varlet knot and Mozingo to my limited experience of 4 ZT1 & ZT2 vs 2 Varlet Rangers. IF there a delta, it that Varlet a little puffier but well and truly gilding the lilly while Mozingo little more dense but damn a very little. Both are about as perfect knots as can be had (neither owning BE nor Wiborg). Preference is for Mozingo handles ergonomically but the look of the Varlet material in white is impressive. In final analysis, actively trying to get more customs from Brett but not yet selling the Varlets.
