I’m with you there! I bought one of his recent hybrids and love it. If he keeps on this hybrid kick I’ll have no choice but to give in, haha.

Got a ZT2 because of all you enablers here
I couldn't be happier with it! Someone had described the black eagle brushes feeling like a wall of badger and that's exactly how I would describe the ZT2. I do like it more than the B8's I had. Feels denser on my face and just feels better overall, hard to explain.
Had the knot mounted on a ThatDarnRob Aluminite Pueblo handle. I couldn't be happier with the handle as well, Rob does amazing work.

My feelings haven't change at all...love the ZT2 hair and the quick turn around time from Brett.

Looks like that's it for the ZT2 batch. The 26mm and 28mm knotting service is sold out and Brett isn't taking custom orders at the moment since he only has enough ZT2 hair to fulfill current orders.

I was trying to get a custom order couple of weeks ago. 
First, I did not get a reply, then I ordered 26mm ZT2 for my existing handle.
Then he replied, and he was sorry that he had not been able to reply. 
And he offered me to make a custom handle for free. Now my handle is ready, waiting to receive my 28mm brush with ZT2.
He is an excellent brush maker.

I'm not going to be the best person do to this, but I'm happy to give quick impressions. Both of my ZT2s are 28mm. They feel much bigger - soft tips and luxurious in use. My Wiborg is a 'finest' not a 'white' badger - but it's 30mm (my largest brush) - does not feel bigger than the ZT2s. I like the DG B5 knot the best of all the DG knots I've tried (at least *my* B5 - there's variability within batches, for sure). It's 28mm - feels just a tad less dense than the ZT2s, but as soft with nice backbone. Varlet Alpine hair is also very soft but with good backbone. I just think that at this level, there are minimal differences among these knots, and I doubt I'd be able to tell them all apart blindfolded (which has led me to focus as much on handles from these artisans as on their knots).

I'll look forward to hearing what you think about the ZT2 when you receive it from Brett - and am eager to hear others' descriptions of similarities and differences among these brushes!
